Received Today. Phone looks new. Box a bit battered due to delivery.

    NFC working
    Android auto working
    Banking apps working.

No VAT. If it gets caught by customs then yes. Always the risk is there

Still easy enough to put the global rom on?

    Heated OP, seriously tempted...

    Yeah seems fine >

"it seems china model doesnt support esim, not important for me so not deal breaker, important stuff for me are bands, android auto, ota and no issues with google pay , bank apps

OnePlus 12 in 12GB/256GB version. The device straight from China's Silicon Valley - Shenzhen. It has:

    • Multilanguage, no "region lock"
    • Global OxygenOS software (i.e. everything you care about works, including Android Auto, Google payments, assistant, seamless updates)
    • For cellular bands support check by clicking on the "Compatibility Assistant" button or by checking e.g. on the Kimovil website
    • No esim.
    • Shipping at 99.9% with no additional customs/vat charges
    • One-year shop warranty in EU"

    curved screen

I prefer a flat screen too. Too many accidental inputs while holding the phone on a curved screen. And curved screen protectors are a pain. (edited)

I've already just posted this on the other OnePlus 12 thread by , but thought I'd bring to your attention that one youtuber posted examples of the Oneplus 12 camera's video at night and being honest, they are absolutely atrocious (jittery, warped videos). If this is the real camera quality, then I'm extremely disappointed, but would like to gauge whether anyone else knows of this issue. Have a look at the video below (Jump to 5.30mins):

as a person who owned OP12 the camera isn't great. The OS and customization is great.

How does VAT work on Aliexpress now? I remember buying things from them last year and paid extra VAT at the end of checkout
    sapstar's avatar
Is something costs below £135, vat gets charged at the time of order. Anything over this amount gets processed without vat. Will need to be paid when you receive the product if customs flags it.

Hi is it just me that thinks this price is too good to be true. Everywhere I've looked this particular verison is £899.

    That's 50% almost off.

Really really want to order but my senses are tingling here
    vassy4u's avatar
I ordered and then cancelled it as it was too good to be true..

16/512 version over the 8/256 model, with new code
  12. ohsomeonenew's avatar
Recent comments on the product page seem to suggest that the seller declares the actual value of the phone so they had to pay the customs fee. So don’t buy it if you are just relying on this passing through customs without the fee
    prynolfc's avatar
I got this on the last deal it was posted, now i'm worrying thanks
  13. Galaxy4741's avatar
    What about tax?
    prynolfc's avatar
50/50 going by others on hotukdeals over the last few weeks with similar deals, you're taking a gamble if u buy a phone from ali every time. (edited)
  14. yodawggangsta's avatar
How much tax if you get charge
    The_narrow_path's avatar
20% plus handling fee (usually £8 I believe).

have you added the coupon on the main screen first? remove all other discounts?
  16. sapstar's avatar
I placed an order for the 12gb/256gb version which says processing in my orders. Anyone know if I can cancel it and order this one? Don't want to end up with 2 phones. (edited)

Think you have until the 27th March to order. Try to cancel first and see what happens.

Anyone need a cheap 7840HS/780m Laptop (has all the bells and whistles for the money £466.98) - Note I think you can only use the voucher once unless you have multiple accounts:

    hotukdeals.com/dea…d=7
  18. sapstar's avatar
Anyone who are thinking of cancelling the previous order and placing it again with the new voucher, please be aware that the coupon is not working. It applies to the cart fine, but payment doesn't go through. I chatted with their customer service who asked me to clear cookies etc, but doesn't work from an incognito browser as well... I am told my case is escalated and someone will reach out in 24hrs...

For me its just an impulse buy, so won't lose sleep if I can't order this one... but if you definitely need this phone, don't cancel your previoius order before placing the new one..
Some of the discounted items in your order can only be placed in limited amounts, or their discounts have already been used. Please check and reduce the amount of discounted items, or remove items with already used discounts.

Ended up creating a new account and placing the order...
  19. AndresFelipe_GiraldoUrrea's avatar
Not possible to buy using the code something about limited amounts can be placed
    Avicena786's avatar
Use VPN and it will allow you to place the order.
  20. Rumcajs_9's avatar
So if understand correctly comments above, they declare full value which means 100% customs will catch it?
    ohsomeonenew's avatar
No one has received it yet from this thread but you can check comments on the product page. If they declare the exact value then yes customs would be required to be paid
  21. itsMeBobski's avatar
    Great specs!

52453395-3e5ue.jpgSaying discount expired. Trying to pay with Revolute card in dollars to save extra money. Anyone else having same issues discount expired message?
    vassy4u's avatar
yes i had the same issue earlier. I didn't bother again after reading sellers feedback.
  23. Al3x4nd3r's avatar
would android auto work on this?
    slipd's avatar
    No reason why it wouldn't.

My old trick to add to the basket and wait few hours until the price drops worked out well. £389 final price when using Monzo card.

Wow! I managed to get the 16/1TB for £452. Price dropped for me also but just paid off my normal debit card so didn't get the better rate like you, but still a bargain nevertheless!
