A good price for a Digital Caliper with 3 year warrenty. Seems like it's all metal but for the black plastic housing.

Got this or very similar previously. Pleased with it but do take the battery out when not using otherwise it will drain eventually

Are you better off with an analogue instead of a digital? At least no battery to muck around with

These are in Aldi too (maybe different brand) same price.

Bought this to replace a plastic one I had from Amazon. So much better being solid metal, it doesn’t flex and is much more accurate. I left the battery in mine, over a year old and still going fine.

Does the caliper have parasitic drain?

I’ve maybe misremembered but I read somewhere that the lidl one was ok to leave the batteries in, but my Aldi one would be flat every time I came to use it. Although the electronics are probably different slightly different for each batch they order so who knows if it still applies.

With a hardcase too, nice price

33% inflation on the pair I bought pre 2016. I think this is a pretty decent price considering how bad the last few years have been. Decent metal tool, but as others have said, don't leave the batteries in them because they will be flat. (edited)

    Did you pay £7.50?

I have one of those all plastic affairs from Temu for home (not great but does the job). We use mitutoyo at work which is calibrated once a year which feels worlds apart from the cheap plastic one.
Hopefully this metal one falls somewhere in between.

If it's good enough for Arnie, it's good enough for me

Had one of these, poor quality. Do yourself a favor, buy a good one.

I have lots of cheap-ish calipers, both around the house and at work thrown away in toolbags and toolboxes. These Parkside ones are the cheapest I own(the most expensive ones being £30ish), and they're not bad at all.
