I have had a bit of nightmare with this company. Faulty MB on arrival - they claimed to have tested before sending it out (but after emails and calls, they said it might be the MB). Had to return it for repair, no communication (what was the issue, who knows. what did they do? who knows). Received the PC back and GPU is disconnected from MB - it is screwed in, but only one end is kind of attached to the MB, 95% of GPU is not slotted into MB. I assume they did it accidently when they shoved a lot of packing inside the case for protection or maybe on transit. Now I am not sure if the pins in the GPU are damaged.

Maybe a one off, as I think lots of people have bought off this company from here. But something to be beware of. I went with pre-built to avoid such hassles. Alas!

Thanks for the feedback pal, Remove the GPU and inspect to see if u notice any damage, and run some cycle tests; different games at different settings and reso to see; Look for unusual visual distortions on your screen, like pixelation, flickering, horizontal lines, or strange colours and report back to them, id also report such issue to them so they can then log that to your account, so if something comes up in future then they can match the situation back.

You can pick up a MSI Thin GF63 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel® Core™ i5, RTX 4050, 512 GB SSD for under £700 at Currys, yes its a laptop and you get all the drawbacks that come with that, but in terms of performance how does this compare?

Hard to compare on the exact cross over but here is a handy comparison to get u started.

What is the difference between an RTX desktop to RTX Laptop:

    and then:

What is the improvement on 3060 laptops to 4050 laptop.

Them two video will put u inlime light in terms of cross over on the GPU Side.

The CPU Side; 12450H, would be like comparing something in the region of a 12100F to a 7600

12100F better benefits in gaming than a 12450H, but have the advantage somewhat in multicore.

for guidance only; (hard to do cross over bang on laptops......)

Decent deal but isn't the 4000 series nvidia card Costco computer better buck per FPS? Was posted on here not that long ago

    KSP on that was Windows:
/ALT for the last gen cpus: that had better FPS: 5600X/4060 at £670.00
    or PC of the Week (FAC1) + 1TB promo + 3060Ti at £690.00

    4060 8GB sits below 3060Ti.

The 3060 12GB sits below both but has more video RAM, test of time will do it better.

however: This one is moving into DDR5, The cost on 4060 with 1TB on this link would be £765
    inlight of costco; 12400F / H610 / DDR4 ---> 7600 / A620 / DDR5 at £65

and if u want true FPS value, 6700XT 12GB then 4060 would be even better for sale cost on the later. (edited)

Thanks OP, would this be able to handle lightroom and photoshop ? Have thousands of pictures taken with DLSR.. my current PC very slow to load and edit so looking for an upgrade which would be good for 5 Ish years … any recommendations on best set up … on a budget so looking for what the cheapest option would be … don’t do gaming or anything else so just for picture and video editing…many thx in advance

Hi. If you on a Strict budget, Go back to an AM4 System,

What do u have atm, and what kinda budget in mind?

    QS:

    Windows O/S
A system with it preloaded and activated.
A system with it loaded but unactivated to save some cost.
A system without windows loaded at all, potentially saves further cost.

How much Storage, would u be desiring?

any other specific natures u can think of u might find usage, or alt links/post that caught ur eye (other than the one we are speaking on).

Something with an RTX3060 12GB would be a good starting point as it be good with all the elements and any visual graphic needs u have, AM4 Nature then AM5 to save on cost. (edited)

I think this is the best bang for buck so far, how does the GPU compare to RX6600 especially 12gb vram?

If you look at it from a self-build point of view, Cash item vs cash item (PCPP) (deal vs deals)

AMD 6600 8GB doesn't have the RAM as u point out, doesn't have the niche Nvidia benefits if u want to go there, and doesn't quite make it to the performance of a 3060 but the performance cost is better from a self-build point of review.

in respect of this deal; you're paying less the cost price of 3060 on the strip down.

if u take their 8500G at £400.... top up the psu at £25, top up to 7600 at £31...... add amd 6600 at £200
    = 656.

so there is no undercut for AM5 / 6600 in prebuilt IMO worthy, if u found an AMD 6600 less than £200 to add in, yes that would be nice.

This is the perfect video: Hes talking about old pricing they both have dropped but gap is still there for self-builders, but obviously in my prebuilt ive squashed that gap.

    here are the charts.

Another great deal FPS, heat added.

I'm looking at building something similar. I have bought a 4070ti from CEX after trading in some old tech, can anyone recommend a budget system for this graphics card please?

I have found this deal for £550, any feedback would be appreciated!

    Hi pal.

That's the £400 opening one isn't it.? (Just in hosp ATM).

It's a good one for that reason, however as per usual they do have another...

It's in this post, starts at 450

That for 50 has better cas, higher board and 1tb.

Doesn't have the boosters but it has the right parts; backdoor them..there on the post.
