Honestly I wouldn't bother anymore, used to love mine before especially during COVID. But the kegs just keep getting more and more expensive, and you'll feel like you need to buy them instead of regular bottles because they do actually taste nicer, but at £4 a pint on some of them you may as well just go out to the pub.

Just sign up for promotion emails. They constantly have promotions running. Annoying they can’t just keep kegs at a lower price all of the time. But there promotions are so frequent it doesn’t really matter.

There was a promotion yesterday for 3 kegs (£1.99 a pint). I ordered 3 x Camden pale for £73.95. With your beer tokens and £5 per keg refund they works out about £1.75 a pint. I don’t think that’s bad value at all. It’s on par with Camden pale cans from a supermarket which are upwards of  £1 for a 330ml can (especially in Wales). Plus the kegs are delivered and collected from my door. Not bad value at all I say.

I just bought one, use it for one keg, sell the machine and I've lost no money. The price of the Keg is like £35, so even if I sell it for £75 I have zero fee's and shipping will be £10, so it works out as a tester.

Just go down the pub mate. It's less hassle.

Newbie question folks: can I re fill the keg with ordinary can/Bottle beer from supermarkets? Cheers.
    Kai_Kinder's avatar
I mean you hypothetically could, there's even kits for it, but I wouldn't do it. Kegs are obviously sealed in a safe and clean environment, something you're unlikely to be able to replicate at home in your kitchen, I'd also imagine it would affect the overall quality of the alcohol and probably not for the better (think needing a spoon and a flake with your half a glass of froth)

You also wouldn't be able to really give it any sort of shelf life, meaning you'd likely have to consume it within 16-24 hours before it goes flat, for all the effort involved just stick to drinking from the can/bottle

Although the title and product says mainland UK, they are offering free delivery to Northern Ireland too.

auld wife beater, chemical concoction for me. Lovely in the 80's and 90s what happened?
    iwmoldskool's avatar
Perfectdraft Stella used to be the proper made in Belgium stuff, they've replaced it recently with the shitty made in the UK stuff

I've seen the app has 20% off multi buy kegs....but when I add three kegs listed as multi buy it doesn't work....anyone any ideas? I can only seem to get ot to work on x3 normal stella? Any advice appreciated
    iwmoldskool's avatar
The line up has changed since I ordered, it's only on the mix and match multi buy marked ones

Does anyone happen to have a spare £10 code that they don't need? If so, a PM would be ace. Thanks.

Messages you, if you haven't received one already
  9. Marwood_Withnail's avatar
Soon enough the kegs will be more expensive then the machine
    BigPro's avatar
Yes, I was quite surprised how expensive the kegs are already.

You would think if you are buying a container full of 6 litres of beer, it should work out a lot cheaper than buying 12 individual cans or bottles, but it works out even more expensive! Something is definitely not right with the pricing here.

I was expecting the kegs to cost between £10 at the lower end and up to £20 for the more premium (Belgian etc) beers. The current prices are staggering.

Perfect draft has gone down hill massively, haven't used mine since before Xmas, they've totally ruined Stella artois by replacing it with uk brewed garbage and clwb tropica which was awesome is now really poor also after a recipe/% change.
Better off buying in cans nowadays as the days of imported quality beer brewed in its home country which has already been eroded will be completely over soon. This was "The" USP of perfect draft. (edited)

they really have shot themselves in the foot with the beer choices, changes, price rises and increasingly poor service. It was a great lockdown toy when the pubs were shut and I still get the odd keg from time to time, but I use my guinness nitrosurge more now.
  11. BUZZ.FUZZ.47's avatar
Bargain. I use mine for parties and it's great.

  14. Kai_Kinder's avatar
    Did I need one? No.

Did my friends tempt me in to buying one? Absolutely.

    10/10 would be tempted again

There's so many referral codes on an auction website it takes some doing to find the actual machines on there

Ours arrived today so I’ll let you know how it is when I’ve opened it. Can be a bit of a lottery from what members on the FB groups have said.

  24. DealioFeelio's avatar
Nice beer, but works out expensive
  25. Nexobios's avatar
Awesome! that is a bargain. I got mine for almost double that, also, considering that you can get £5 in credits for the empty keg it is about £94 xD
  26. shibbrew's avatar
£99! Bargain! Costs have gone up though on the kegs and they are not as good value as they once were. But I still love mine
    teddyedward1's avatar
It’s the quality of the drink, yes it’s dearer than supermarket cans & bottles but it’s a far superior drink whatever the brew.
  27. greatcapp's avatar
Am I right in thinking this might cost about £8-£9 a month to power? Seems like a 70w machine, but I'd guess might only run at 40w or thereabouts once it got the keg down to temperature? Quite tempting if so.
    Kai_Kinder's avatar
Assuming you have it stocked 24/7 it would cost around £10 per month, you could reduce this cost by pre chilling the keg in the fridge too.
  28. buckiebull's avatar
    Cool
  29. Chrissybh0y's avatar
These aren’t worth it anymore imo , when they first came out these and the torps were great value for money
    Kai_Kinder's avatar
If I go out it's about £4.56 a pint, this comes to less than £3 per pint per keg, give or take 50p depending what I buy...
  30. porkchopkid's avatar
On the perfect draft website there were some short bbe kegs. Where I live it's £2.25 for a pint but I do know in London / south east could quite easily be over £6 a pint
    eelvis's avatar
£6 in Glasgow is now the norm
  31. banshee3099's avatar
Wow glad I didn’t buy the £200 full price
  32. banshee3099's avatar
Where the cheapest place to buy the kegs?
  33. Bargainhunter53849's avatar
    Bargain £89 ordered with a code 👌
