    I haven’t been to Kaunas for ten years. It a small compact locker city that can be done in a day. A lot less busy than Vilnius. Enjoy.

    Just back from there last week and I have to say I'd highly recommend for a short city break. Freedom Avenue is a mile long pedestrian precinct where there are loads of shop, cafes, bars, bakeries etc then the old town is similar but smaller with cobbled streets. Full of really interesting street art, the zoo has been recently renovated and the Akropolis shopping mall is massive with some great places to eat.

    Came back from there last week, half a day tops to see it all, limited bars, very crafty if you like to wear your trousers off your feet, took the train to Vilnius not a great deal more there.

    Only worth going if you are a basketball fan, check the Zalgirio Arena.
