Need something that cleans the grout. How is is machine for doing that ,
    Simon_Hogbin's avatar
I use a VAX steam cleaner which comes with a brush that attachs to the end specifically for grout.
Few brushes back and forth and all the dirt is lifted and then I wipe it down with a sponge cloth.
best solution i've found and I have two dogs so my grout is always getting filthy!

Does it work on wooden floors?
    BrianHalligan's avatar
I returned mine as left wooden floor far to wet

A spare battery for this is £35.99 alone. Might as well get a second one for that price. Seems crazy good value if it works well.

I hear a common problem with this is that it leaves floor too wet. Doesn't the user control how much water is sprayed? or am I misssing something? I guess just spray less if floor is too wet
    DERMU's avatar
Yes user controls how much water is squirted out by using a button on the handle. Obviously if you drench the flooring it's going to stay wet.

So, is this an electric mop or?
  20. Anewchange's avatar
Anyone compared this to the bissell spinwave?
    AX31's avatar
    Author
Yes. This one takes up the dirty water and it's cordless. The bissell smears it.

Just ordered thanks. Anyone know what detergent to use, does it have to be the rug doctor one?
    CynicalNurse's avatar
No, you can use almost anything. I use the concentrated detergent/disinfectant from Aldi. Anything non-foaming.
  22. SriniKovv's avatar
Hows this better than a mop?
    Tryp's avatar
No need to apply force to lift stains, I'd imagine

OOS on Rug Doctor website again but why order from there anyway when you can order from B&Q for the same price delivered & get 5% TCB plus easy / free store returns if required. Awesome deal!
    diy.com/dep….prd
    krogz87's avatar
The one on the B&Q website is fulfilled by rug doctor direct it would appear so chances are if rug doctor is out of stock then your b&q order will end up cancelled.

How are they on corners ?
  26. mancmackem's avatar
    I've bought one on B&Q. Unfortunately couldn't use the £5 off as isn't a B&Q product.
  27. lookout's avatar
Sent mine back. It's alright, but doesn't dry as well as a regular mop.
  28. Magicman47's avatar
This insane value. I really love mine, would recommend it
    Thomsoc's avatar
Couple questions, do you empty clean water after every use? Assume it’s cold water, or is it hot With 2 cats I’m constantly mopping kitchen floor so hopefully not have to empty it every time.
