About this deal

I have had this on CamelCamel as an alert and it seems this pack has never been this cheap.

The pack contains 2 Tapo C310 in white colour.

Considering the RRPP and the price being sold individually, I reckon this is a great deal for those looking for CCTV of similar specs.

I got the single pack version of this and its great.
The ability to have a memory card is awesome, you still get notifications.

The only downside is that the movement detection is not very clever, and when it rains my notifications go nuts. Even though I've turned the sensitivity down as far as I can.
It also comes with an ethernet port, even though I'm using it purely wirelessly.

I’ve noticed that as well with the rain - if it’s rained overnight then my camera tend to record non stop cause they see movement. I’ve turned off notifications for movement due to this.

I bought a tin pack a couple of years ago for about £70. These are excellent value and very good for the price. Image quality is good, especially as you should only be focusing on your own property, which unless you've a country estate I would think covers 99% of the people on here.
Personally, I'm looking to upgrade to the 320 version (currently £79 for 2 on Tapo website) OR even the 520 (which is a Pan/Tilt camera that has tracking, currently £140 for 2) (edited)

I am waiting for a solar double pack :P

From my understanding these are wireless only with no Eithernet or PoE etc.
My current cameras are starting to intermittently fail so looking for some cost effective cameras to work with Blue Iris. (edited)

    They have ethernet connection

Please note this still has cables for the power so not completely wire free

After looking at solar powered options, I have a feeling that they would fail during winter so wire power might be the answer.

Do we really have to find separate power supplies?
    Website says:-
    What's in the box?
    Tapo C310 Cameras

I ask because the Tapo C320WS (granted, only one camera for the same cost) shows this as box content:

    What's in the box?
    Tapo C320WS
    Power Adapter
    Mounting Template
    Anchors and Screws
Waterproof Seal;Waterproof Cable Attachments;Quick Start Guide (edited)

Can the SD card be viewed from the Tapo app (replay motion detected)
Good deal thanks for the heads up

    Yes

Can someone advise on the length of the power cable (cannot see it on Amazon)..and is it detachable (so can be fed through wall etc)..Thankd
    RedXI's avatar
I think it's at least 2m maybe 3m. I have one of these about 30cm away from an a back garden window, and the power cable easily reaches through the window to the main wall outlet in the back room which is about 2m (maybe a bit less) from the window, and with plenty of slack.

Oh and it is detachable. (edited)

    All my cameras are tapos.
All have an sd card in and record on movement and also have a zoneminder server that records constantly.
If they are covered from the rain then they are great on the notification issue others mentions above. Best budget camera solution right now.

same here mate, i can't find budget doorbell to add into tapo app.
The cheapest tapo app on sale i have seen is £95

Bought these in April when they were £49.99. So far so good. Happy with how they perform and think for £25 each camera they are a great deal.

Same so I’m tempted to pick another two now - only really need one now but at this price….

How does this compare against the galayou 2k outdoor camera that’s on Amazon. Thanks
    Adaks_'s avatar
    This one compares better

How does one temper a camera?

Looking for something similar to this but will I have to drill through walls to wire into sockets?
  15. mikeizz's avatar
The wire is quite thin - I have mine running through conservatory window that is then shut and all good after a year.

So to answer your question, if you don't have outdoor socket or window close by, then yes you will have drill through wall!
  16. White_Rose_AJ's avatar
The plug socket on these is far too big for an outside waterproof socket.

Design is poor for power, expect to be drilling through walls

Silly question maybe but would these work indoors on window sill?
    Adaks_'s avatar
Yeah but night vision wouldn't work

I have mostly ring cameras and doorbells, but I bought a tapo pan and tilt as I wanted 24/7 recording.

The tapo camera is excellent for 24/7 recording, and you can access the camera within seconds via the app. I find the ring cameras have a bit of a delay to them.

However, I found the tapo's motion

detection absolutely terrible compared to the rings. The tapo would pick up rain, and in the end I just turned motion detection off. I personally think Ring has the best motion detection/Ai capabilities.

I've gone ahead and purchased these 2 tapo's on the deal, but I'll be using them exclusively as 24/7 cameras.

How do you use the tapo for 24/7 recording. I have been unable to find a 24/7 timeline in the tapo app, the only thing on the timeline are the detected events, and going beyond these zaps it to the next detected event.
