About this deal

These seem pretty good now they're back on offer again, especially as there's that 100 night trial period, which I think for mattress purchases, is a must. The one in questions is a medium to firm support model.

Prices
  • Double - £439
  • King - £479.00
  • Super King - £519.00

In addition to this: There's an nice offer where you can get an extra £50 off when you add a bed to your basket too, which looks to include any bed base / frame. This discount is automatically applied at the checkout.

As an example: You can get this pink Ascot bed frame, which is on offer for £179 for the double, and pair it with the double mattress for a total of £580.99 with delivery added in.

Alternatively, the King mattress and bed frame would total at £638.99 delivered

There’s a £39.99 collection fee for the sleep trial for those interested. I’m currently shopping around (my Simba one sunk in the middle after 6 years) so noticed this on their terms when I came across

“A collection fee of £39.99 applies to any mattress returned under the 100 Night Sleep Trial. This amount will be deducted from your refund, which you will receive within 14 days of your mattress being collected”

Doesn't simba have a long warranty that will cover sinking?

I have an Emma mattress and I'm sure it's 10 years. But the sinking has to be 6cm (which I think is probably impossible)

I am a fan of Dusk generally. I have bought towels, bedding and pillows. The pillows have been amazing. It was like 120 notes for 4 feather pillows and 4 protectors 14 months ago and still going strong. If I compare that to the 340 coin i spent in M&S a few years back then it is night and day.

Hoping to move soon so would deffo try a superking next time.

I turned this mattress down and went for a nectar premier and tbh I've had it 2-3 weeks and I think it's rock hard, had med-firm mattress before for 10 years by sleepeezie they're about 1300 quid now for the one I had.
I would rather this one than my nectar but I feel this will also be too firm ?

Someone needs to do a review of this mattress on YouTube for sure (edited)

It’s more on the medium side than firm for me. I prefer firm and I’m sending it back.

I ordered this mattress earlier today for the spare bedroom. Is there much difference in quality between the two mattresses? Both are 4000 sprung mattresses but difference in price is massive.

Buying a mattress is an absolute mine field. I really need one but understanding what I need and the price I should be paying is quite difficult. Would be interested in opinions on the above.

Does anyone have this mattress and would they recommend it? Thanks

I got it a couple weeks back and highly recommend it. Everyone is going to prefer a different type of mattress but for me it's perfect. I find it much comfier than the full memory foam Emma mattress it replaced.

For anyone in the market for a new mattress, this BBC Radio 4 podcast is well worth a listen: Sliced Bread - Mattresses

TL;DR: “A hybrid mattress takes the best of spring technology and foam technology, puts them together and hey presto!” - Simon Williams, National Bed Federation (edited)

Comes rolled up in a box. How is that supposed to instil confidence?

Interesting read so far from everyone's feedbacks and comments.

I am also after a new mattress but I've had a memory foam and omg never again! it has killed my back and both king size mattress have ripped completed and unable to sleep on.

!00% I need a pocket sprung, the old school way has never let me down. I'm after something which is hard and not soft, something like what they use at the Marriott hotels, after all I am over 6'6 & need something firm that will last.

Any recommendations, I would highly appreciate it.. Sorry I'm a newbie to this stuff

I agree, never again but it is a minefield and hard to tell a mattress from a few minutes in a shop. DFS has some good deals at the moment so going to try there

Says 100 Night Sleep Trial & 1-year product guarantee. Only 1 year guarantee for a mattress! :/

Different price range but we went to John Ryan by design for our mattress best I've ever had.

You'll be waiting 2+ weeks for delivery,
Ordered on 25th and still waiting

It will depend on the size you order. Double and super king both state in stock. King size states May for delivery.

We ordered a super king and got it within 8 working days, but it did state it would take that long when ordering so it wasn't unexpected.

If it helps anyone, I have a 3000 pocket mattress. It's unbelievably heavy and an absolute beauty to sleep on. I imagine this will be even better!!

I'm after a 100% sprung mattress - not hybrid don't like memory foam - any recommendations - last time I paid £100 for a double from ebay, it's been good for 4 years but could be firmer, and now in need of a king size, happy to spend a bit more to get better quality - prefer firm (edited)

I’m surprised you got a decent mattress for £100! How much are you hoping to spend on your next pocket sprung mattress? I’m going to be in the market for a new mattress soon for I’m expecting to be spending many hundreds, maybe closer to a grand for a decent bed!? I’m probably going to check out the bed shops close by to me, one an independent and a Bensons for Beds! I’m looking for tips on testing, buying, different retailers etc.

Cannot seem to get the Bed & Mattress £50 discount to apply at checkout 🤷🏼‍♂️
    stec77's avatar
Which mattress were you going for? Were you buying “blind” ie without testing? What made you go for this particular one (just a HUKD purchase!) have you tried in person any particular mattresses? What price was you expecting to play for the bed and mattress before the £50 discount (has definitely ended)? Thanks in advance.

Good luck getting anything to arrive with these lot. Or even harder getting hold of them. Ordered ascot + mattress 4 weeks ago. No updates, no emails no sign at all that order was processing and the order just started “unfulfilled”. Not even an estimated date. 4 emails and a trust pilot review later they finally decide to call me. Order placed on 24 hour priority despatch. 6 days later and it still had no sign of despatch. Called to cancel “oh it’s been despatched today, sorry you haven’t received the despatch email” I cancelled and had the refund later that day . . So can’t imagine it had left the warehouse if I was refunded that quick? Too many lies. Just look at their recent trust pilot reviews before buying from them, that’s what I’d say.

Did you go for the mattress in the OP? What made you go for it without trying out first? I’ve not checked out trustpilot as you suggest but I did read the reviews on the website that I’m assuming is for this mattress in particular which are generally very good!?
