    Ome thing I'd say is that these beds squeak like mad. No matter how tightly fixtures n fittings are done, no matter how much WD40 you apply, it's noisy as hell

    Wonder if rubber washers would help? Probably £5 on Amazon and put them on with the fixtures could help??

    The above is the assembly and safety manual for it. Interestingly, it doesn't mention a weight limit - just a mattress thickness limit and a child numbers limit.

    Note that it is not free standing. There are two wall brackets on the upper cross member. It also mentions that it should be assembled in the room where it is to be used. Which suggest a lack of rigidity to me...and emphasises the need for those wall brackets.

    I was tempted, thinking that it could go in the spare room as a combined desk and 3ft bed. There's no diagonal cross bracing though. I suppose not essential with the wall brackets.

    Nah, excellent idea but I think that I will give this one a miss. Plus, as others have said, those small diameter round steps make it very much a child bed and not one for the odd adult now and then. I could have fixed that with a different ladder, I suppose.
