    Up until recently these weighed 13g and I recall them being 850mah labelled/tested at

    The new ones are 11.5g and they came out between 750-775mah despite being labelled 1000mah (edited)

    Ive bought lots of these over the years and never had a single one fail. Occasionally you need to put totally dead ones in a dumb charger for a couple of mins to lift the voltage before they will charge in a smart charger. I hope this isn’t why some people are throwing them away

    Exactly my thoughts. Many people are unaware that this happens often more often with the cheap ones.

    Yeah. The one brand that's really not lasted well for us are the Tronic ones. The quality just hasn't been great. Doesn't take long before the internal resistance in them rises high enough to mess with anything that uses a decent amount of current. We've eventually had to throw all the ones we had away.

    I brought both sizes in full price 2 years ago.
    I mainly use them in remote control.
    The batteries are still working fine.

    had mine for 6years and still going..
    AA 2450mah.. silver with a black top.. not the precharged / readytogo ones..
    and i use the Tronic charger with the LCD screen.

    Agreed. I've had a high failure rate with all rechargeables I have bought from Lidl.

    Are these actually back in the normal AA size? I've had a whole load get stuck in stuff where a panasonic or enloop battery will fit (or a non rechargeable) but these don't

    My 2-cents, good rechargeables are available for not much money, so I wouldn't be chancing this at any price personally. Ikea LADDA are the go-to, or Eneloop if you're feeling bougie.

    The Ladda ones are £8 for 4. Buying three packs and paying £20 Vs £6 with this deal is a sizeable difference. I've got Tronic batteries going strong after 6 years, many which are 4 years old still going. None have died. I think after 10 years I'll throw them away regardless, because I think that would be chancing it with any rechargable battery.

    Saw these in Lidl about 2 weeks ago.They were £3.99 for 1 pack or 2 packs for £6.
    Have bought the black and silver ones in the past, and they are still working well.
    Took a punt on these to see how compare.
    May have to get some more if now only £1.99 a pack.
    That's very cheap.
