I bought one, it's completely unfit for purpose. Simply doesn't work. I can set it, it would act like it's all good, and then I could get the bikes out the shed without it making a sound. Useless thing. It fell off where it was positioned and broke into little pieces to be swept into the bin. (edited)

Apart from that, is it any good?

Mine works well. Had it about 5 months. Enough to make somebody Think Twice about hanging around if they're breaking into your shed

If you have a ring alarm system, just buy an extra pir sensor for £20 and put it in the shed. It now becomes part of your house alarm.
We do this with our motorhome.

And then scares you to death thinking someone's broke in your house

    That's quite a strong indictment isn't it 😁

Reviews on Amazon are bad if you read one star ratings.

I gets 89% 4 or 5 stars out of 4,000 reviews which is a pretty good sign that most think it's very good. (edited)

I've had one for years and it works well. Batteries last about a year, it can be wired to 240v. Good alert volume.

I've had mine about 10 years and it works perfectly. Battery lasts ages and the alarm is quite loud.

Had mine for about a year. Brilliant for my garage, have it set up and it has worked as expected every time.

I’ve got this alarm. It’s in my shed.

These used to be £10 each. They run off batteries, so I don't see in one of the comments how easy it is to claim they can run off the mains?
The noddy alarm is piezo squeal. I would not pay more than £10 for one. If you have a security set up, like Eufy, better to spend more on a sensor that links to it.

A complete waste of time in my experience.

Only useful to startle people in your shed as the noise is pretty well contained internally.

I think it's still on a shelf somewhere in the shed.

Perhaps if you mounted it inside the door that opens it might be of some use but it was just e-waste, based on my results.

I have two of these, had them a couple of years. Open my shed door at night and a floodlight blinds you so you cant see the alarm. Good price and a handy cheap alarm, heat.
