How does it work with cards from other manufacturers? Are there better and worse ones?

It's the same physical GPU chip so the differences aren't huge but often what differentiates different manufacturers are warranty, cooling and some do pre-overclocked versions which perform better. (edited)

I’m wondering if it would be worth it for me considering my motherboard is ROG Maximus XI Code - therefore still PCIe 3.0.

Currently have a 2070 Super and wondering whether I need to update my MB/CPU (i5 9600k) first before considering an RTX 4series.

    Any thoughts??

Not sure exactly how much performance I would lose.. (edited)

You would be insane to pair 9600k with 4070 super. You'd be crippling GPUs performance with the CPU bottleneck. Hard to quantify this, according to PC Builds Bottleneck calculator (not super reliable - granted) you're loosing 36-40%. I'd look to upgrade your MB/CPU/RAM first. (edited)

£540 for that card is ridiculous. It's midrange, it should be £300. GPU makers are still living three years in the past. (edited)

£450 wouldn't go down to £300 as the TI version is about the same performance but this is cheaper

Ordered the Fe yesterday for £40 more... In two minds now about whether to go for this instead

The FE cards hold their value better than partner cards. Stick with the FE.

Would this be a significant upgrade going from a RTX 2080i? Mainly used for 3D rendering.

Depends on the software you're using, Google etc 2080ti Vs 4070 super [your software] benchmark

    Temps & noise levels pls?

Any downside to be on the previous MB generation..? I'm on 1660 ti and expected to do a full MB, ram, CPU and gpu upgrade in another 12 - 18 months. However this can run on my existing MB and with a CPU upgrade may be a slightly cheaper upgrade for the next 5 years

Great deal, heat added! I am in the market for a 4070 super.. ebuyer are also selling the 4070 super MSI overclocked for£557.55 with the code. Is it worth the extra £15?? ebay.co.uk/itm…003
    MrKrabs's avatar
Overclock it yourself and save £15? Even then the only difference you'd see is in benchmarking results. (edited)

Great card, got this for my nephew’s build. Bit loud though, if you’re concerned about noise get a 3 fan one. My wife’s 3 fan Windforce 4070 Super is much quieter

Is this a worthwhile upgrade from a 2070 super for VR on a Valve Index?
