Yep, that's what I did, I bought extra filters and the air fresheners that go in them.

If you have a dog it is going to stink soon enough like all vacuums. The filter takes ages to dry after cleaning so recommend you buy some cheap spare filters to swap in to keep vacuum smells away.

Here's my experience, purchased it the day deal was posted. Arrived next day. Easy to assemble. Great performance and quite easy to guide in use. Picks up brilliantly for a cordless, no horrible smell either ....I've a huge white dog that leave hairs everywhere. My bin went faulty today, I called Gtech, 5 mins later a new bin is on the way, 5 star customer service. It would make me buy from them again.

£8.40 tracked on Quidco too cheers

I worked in this industry as an engineer for many years. These are great lightweight floor cleaners but not because they have great airflow specs. High air watts are not required and do not necessarily translate to great cleaning performance. Compare this to an equivalent Dyson and you're saving £100, if not significantly more. These do get hair wrapped around the brush bar over many months of neglect but they are also relatively easily cleaned. The brush bar slides out from one end and you use scissors to cut hair free, it takes 5 minutes.

Lawn mower is great cuts really well

Has anyone in Norther Ireland ever been able to get a GTech lawnmower successfully shipped to them from GTech in Birmingham? I am now experiencing the 4th disappointment - 3 previous lawnmowers were shipped to me and all were snagged by TNT for incorrect paperwork and subsequently returned to GTech. I paid for this almost a month ago. The 4th one was dispatched and today is snagged again by TNT......I'm quite sure soon to be returned to GTech. Yet again I haven't received what I have paid for. This case was escalated to their management who promised to personally see it through to delivery. That manager failed to call me on Monday as promised with the action plan. He failed to call me back on Tuesday with my tracking number. Today he isn't available to speak to me. The whole situation is pathetic and in terms of customer service "totally atrocious".

Can you give an update when you get a chance please (angel)

Each battery is supposed to last 40 mins but instead of getting an extra battery you could opt for the fast charger both are £99 each and sorry its arriving today so can not really give you any feedback on the mower

what is the mower like and how long do the batteries last?

Thought about buying one as a spare but it'd probably just sit there collecting dust

Looks like Gtech are debating the toy market next :D Business change

Thanks for sharing @jasb737 8)

So general consensus only buy one if I want weak suction and a device that will stop working in a year?.. I'm gonna pass. Thanks

I'd personally hold off for the Pro Turbo edition.

Noisy, smelly and heavy. Battery is the way to go but I wouldn't buy this. Gtech stuff is seriously underpowered.

Amadan Aldi do a multi purpose petrol tool for same price which seems much better value

Blimey for less you could get a petrol powered jobbie anyway.

Attachment cuts through some branches.

That's the branch cutter attachment

Better to save a bit more for a Dyson official refurb IMO. They actually work very welland last.

I've owned this setup for 6 months now and are happy with it. The powered brush on the handheld is really good for hoovering sofa. Quite scary how much crap the main unit hoover's up on what I think are clean carpets...

I've got the K9 HandHeld. Bought as a cheaper alternative to a Dyson handheld. Suction isn't a strong point, but the handheld and the turbo tool (whatever it's called) Is adequate for cleaning stairs...etc When using in car, it's not the greatest and suction poorer on the curves and shapes in a car. Worse thing was the "Carkit" they sold was £50 and completely useless as it's just an extension, brushes and curvy hose. Should've been free. In normal usage, battery lasts me over 20 mins which is more than time to do stairs and upstairs landing. If you really want a Gtech duo, this is probably a good deal. But do consider other alternatives.

Bought this 2 years ago. Wish I hadn't. The handheld has next to no suction so if you're going to clean the car with it......good luck. The upright is ok if you want a quick whizz round but useless for thorough cleaning. A wheel fell off our first one after 6 months but GTech were really quick to replace. Then we experienced hair jamming the roller drive cog. I'd kept the original base so I compared the 2 designs and noticed the new one allowed hair under the drive cog. Their only answer was to clean the roller more often. To be fair I do live with 3 long haired women but cleaning the roller after EVERY use was tedious. Their warranty is fantastic but the devices themselves are just not powerful enough and they need a design rethink. I've gone to a mains shark upright.

Heat added; tahnks for posting @Robert_TVx

Last night I ordered the Green works equivalent on a prime deal for £230 with 2 batteries. Any ideas if this might be a better mower?

I've had a Tech mower for a while now and to be honest I wouldn't recommend it. New battery and new mower replaced under warranty (which I can't fault, excellent customer service). But still it just doesn't seem unto the job. Contstantly cutting out even on short grass and battery life of about half an hour. Wish I'd stuck with my petrol mower.

I bought the previous model for £300 and love it, i got an extra battery as it takes 2 hours to cut my lawn

2AH at 48V is approx equivilent to 5AH at 18V

For comparison this Wickes one for £84 is very similar spec. Brushless, 60nm torque, metal chuck etc. With 2x2ah batteries Vs 1x2.5ah for £84.

Drilling down through the user guide, it states max torque is 530 in-lb which converts to 59Nm and (unrelated) with an all metal chuck... it actually looks half decent, no idea if it's got a metal gearbox, I suspect not, but why they don't promote the torque in the main info is wierd as it's not bad for this price range. I'd still get a Makita LXT or Dewalt though, just as there's so much more info out there on the things.

The lack of disclosure of torque and drilling capacity in masonry makes me admire that optimism. I hope it's good (y)

Agreed, but I thought I'd try something new. What if they are amazing?

I wonder how good these are? Like said above, this is pretty similar to the price of Makita or Dewalt. I know their vacuums are really good and I have a strimmer from them that's been really good, would be interesting to see how their tool range actually is.

Those of us that suffer from allergy has no choice, unfortunately.

Agreed with all of your points. I’ve done the cordless thing with a Dyson DC58 and I’ve honestly had enough of the whole bagless cylinder nonsense. None of the vacuums empty well or easily and their filters need cleaning every month for maintenance. On top of that, all the good ones are rechargeable and cost an arm and a leg to buy. The batteries can fail a lot depending on model and aren’t always so easy to replace. The minute my DC58 dies for good, I’ll be picking up a Miele which I hope will be lighter than my Henry and going back to bags. Quicker and easier.

prove it? I know I can :D

Of course you do (excited) Me too!

again, I have both the Dyson v7 AND the shark. I have both iPhone and Android too :)
