I ended up going on the Argos website and going to the online chat and advised I bought eligible item on day x and registered that day however not received code.
They said I would receive the code in 48 hours time via email - I didn't
So I loaded up the chat log sent via email copied my initial enquiry.
Went back on the online chat, pasted in the initial enquiry and then added that I had already raised a query and had not received the code and asked for this to be looked into.
They referred it to another department and about 5 minutes later a code was messaged to me in the online chat.
Worth the the effort as a saving of £34 in total.

For that offer I never searched for what was the cheapest eligible item however I bought £10 Steam credit and spent the credit when there was a sale.
Two ways to look at it; either I got £50 saving for 6 months Spotify or given I would have probably spent the £10 anyways at Steam, i got 6 months Spotify for free! (edited)
