Be interested to find out if this works out for your parents, I advise my audiology patients to try a sound bar but generally tell them to ask for in store demos as they vary so much in quality. I think a good sound bar for that purpose needs some sort of dynamic range compression see, a crisp clear treble output and definitely no subwoofer.
Ive got the bigger version of this and am really happy with it. (U can tell how much i know though, its got a big box thing with it too) same remote as in the picture. Annoys my next door neighbour and drowns out her played Westlife. Its all good! Hehe
Dosen't come with a optical cable... Bought this at £40 from Curry last week (Crimbo present for my parents, who are struggling to hear dialogue with the speaker in a cheap TV) hopefully this will do enough... to improve there experience... It was at the time £70 on amazon. Remote looks better than some of the other budget sound bars, I've seen in this price range.
