JVC RA-D77M DAB+/FM Bluetooth Radio - Wood & Cream - £39.99 @ Currys
Found 18th SepFound 18th Sep
JVC RA-D77M DAB+/FM Bluetooth Radio - Wood & Cream was £79.99 now £39.99

Got this a while ago for quite a bit more. It's pretty good, there's a slight hum from the screen when it's lit up bright - noticeable if no radio on (eg when you're setting the alarm etc), but stops when the screen dims JVC is an 'own' brand at Curry's, however I'd note that the similar Pure dab (about £150) has the exact same screen, menu options and buttons. The Pure may have better speakers, amplifiers etc, I don't know. Personally I couldn't tell the difference, and 150 quid for an alarm clock is a joke!

Last two really 'was' prices £49.97 2/8/18-10/9/18 £62.97 30/7/18-1/8/18

Paid £49.97 for this a month ago - decent DAB radio alarm clock and good reception, even in a poor DAB signal area.

No stock in my area.bummer

Good price but note that JVC is a brand name that Curry's use under licence so could be made by anyone.

JVC 32 inches, Full HD, smart, with built in DVD player £199.99 @ Currys

It is in store only, it's specified. I've personally went to Currys for this and they confirmed, sadly the TV was not in my local. The code may have expired in the meantime.

Code didn’t work for me

Just stopped at Currys in Sheffield, nothing in stock. Asked if I can order it for collection and to have the voucher applied, not possible. Closest in stock in Rotherham, I was told if I go there, the voucher will apply. So, I guess you have to find first if they have in stock in order to use the code.

To be honest, I do not know how it works. Gave it a try over the internet but did not work (code specifies in store only). Wanted to speak to somebody on chat but was too late, nobody available. My plan was to go to currys today but got busy, so I will try over the weekend. When I select the tv, it shows available to collect straight away, so I am assuming they have it at my local. The cheaper one, Toshiba, for £198 is not available to pick up, so I assume the JVC is at the shop. Still debating if I should place a order, pay and when going to collect to ask for £20 back, or I should go in store first. I would have liked the idea to have it delivered but don't know how I can get the money back, so I may try to speak to currys on their chat.

Thanks. The issues is that curry's stores don't seem to stock this TV. It gets delivered to store which means you have to pay full price. I suppose you could try and return it and rebuy using the code but seems a bit of a potch

JVC used to be reasonable but these days you just don’t know what you are getting. With TVs changing so rapidly these days I think I will wait until the OLEDS come down to around this price in a couple of years.

Rubbish TV, slow interface, poor picture quality.

JVC is now a cheapie brand. Sound quality terrible

Smart TV can (and almost always should) be bypassed with a proper TV streaming solution. I'd be more concerned about the picture quality at this price (especially on such a large screen, where even a minor issue would be much more apparent).

If youre looking for a decent smart TV, youd be better off not buying this. Software on this TV is a joke with apps crashing and/or not working at all.

How do you do a stock check?

They're not close enough to me to make the trip, but Nottingham and Tamworth both have stock according to their stock checker.

Any stock anywhere?

For anyone wavering, get one if you can- we have one and it's miles better sound quality than the Lidl/Bush types ones we've got at a similar price.

Jvc 5.1.2 atmos soundbar half price at Currys for £349

True up-firing speakers Dolby Atmos soundbar at £349. Cheapest comparable I can see is the sj9 on clearance at £429

If anyone is interested costco have the sony HT-XF9000 for £360 in store cheaper than currys and much better i imagine than this. I like mine *disclaimer i am no audiophile

Listened to this in the shop. It's ok. Decent bass but it's definitely not a premium product. Ok at this price I guess.

A shame this seems to be so poor, would have been nice to have a half decent budget Atmos offering :( That said, if I saw one of these sub £200 used, entirely possible since there will be no doubt be people buying these and then wanting to offload, I'd still be tempted to give it a go since there is nothing else in the price range that has atmos. Have owned a JVC TH-WL711B in the past, which wasn't actually too bad at all, you just had to turn down the sub volume as it's default setting was stupidly high, only problem was it didn't remember the setting so you had to do that every time, which was a PITA....

ATmos... Don't buy JVC, LG or Sony.... The only Atmos worth buying is *******

Which summary: ‘Poor speech and music, Atmos is disappointing, some usability issues’

are you comparing this £13 pair of headphones to ones £100 pounds more?

Had these about 5 years ago, switched to te m50x and have seen such a huge improvement, these have lasted me now for 3 and a half years however the leather has frayed to pieces, still amazing audio quality.

They were 12.99 at time of posting.
