I know there are free password apps but this is Proton so very very very (you get the idea) secure and there's some great added extras. All for around £9 a year! Usual price after offer will be $3.99/month around £40/year so quite the saving here.

No brainer for me and signed up, hopefully it'll help some here.

The blurb...

Proton Pass lifetime 75% discount ends on August 31

This summer, we launched Proton Pass, our open-source and encrypted password manager, one of the most highly demanded services from the Proton community. More than just a password manager, Proton Pass is also an identity manager.

Proton Pass is available for free and includes unlimited logins and unlimited devices.

If you decide to upgrade to Proton Pass Plus, you can also:

Easily enable and auto-fill 2FA on any website with the integrated 2FA authenticator in Proton Pass
Have an unlimited number of hide-my-email aliases
Safely store your credit cards
Organize your encrypted notes, logins, etc, into multiple vaults
And in October, be able to share your logins, notes, credit cards with other people.
Nine years ago, Proton was born with a record-breaking summer crowdfunding campaign. To celebrate this event, Proton Pass Plus is available for $1/month with an annual subscription until the end of August. This is a 75% lifetime discount that never expires, meaning you’ll keep this price forever.

In September, Proton Pass Plus will return to its regular price at $2.99/month for a 2-years plan or $3.99/month for 1-year plan so this is the last chance to get this discount.

So do they think we're going to die in 12 months?

every comment you post is sarcastic to the people who work hard to find bargains, yet in 12 years you have hardly posted any deals, get real

They make no mention of how the pricing will change, and whether or not you will lose the lifetime status if you upgrade to the premier package at 7.99

The Proton stuff is ok, but their calendar is lacking the most basic option of adding a colour code to dates, so medical appts are not obvious, for example.

    Or just use Bitwarden. (edited)

Their colour coding is at a calendar level so is it not just a case of creating a Medical calendar? I have a range of calendars for different purposes in Proton Calendar (edited)

Proton Pass Lifetime, then it says 12 months subscription. Isn't that a contradiction?

Also what does this do better than LastPass?

One way to find out and it's far cheaper. Looks like it's €1pm for a lifetime. You pay €12 per year/ €24 for 2 years

Just created a free account, first it shows free forever then 7 days left. Any idea to why?

I've used Last Pass (for many years) until they leaked a bunch of information. Now I'm using Bitwarden. I'm very very happy with the family plan it's great. Do they offer a family plan?

The main reason I'd think about it is being outside of The 5 Eyes. Could be worth it.

Unlimited devices so no reason you couldn't share it that I can see

I dare not use any password manager after all the leaks you hear lol.

The trick is to have something completely random that will always be in front of those passwords or at the end of those stored passwords that you don't have stored in the password manager.

That or better yet just switch to using passphrases instead of passwords.

If you choose the 2 year option at 7.99 and pay in USD then it comes to £6.34 in real money.
For this you get the unlimited version of the password manager, and the rest of the suite, which includes a VPN, password manager, email client, the ability to generate unlimited unique addresses, some storage, and other (edited)

Isn’t that for the pro version on every Proton app though? And you have to pay 24 x £6.34 upfront for the 24 months?

All done.. £9.54 (using dollars). I particularly like the 'hide my email' feature.

Good find op. Well done. 🏻
