Well it's a two sided coin reply. Had it 2 weeks now. When unwrapped we did not seem to notice any smells which can be associated with these type of mattress. It comes up a little short for our base but only marginally and can live with that. I love with my partner so 2 people in the bed. It is great if one of you gets out you don't really feel the movement very much. Comfort is very subjective and the 1st foam type mattress we have had. We are about 12 and 13stone. I find it more comfortable than my partner. As it is not memory foam you don't get that dip still there when you move until the foam sorts itself out again. We like a medium mattress as we are side sleepers mostly and my partner finds it does not contour to her body as she would have liked. However I am pretty happy with it and definitely for the price. We are unsure if going to keep as we both have to be happy with it. My partner has fibromyalgia so feels pain a lot more. I would say it is on the firmer side of medium than than softer side of that makes sense. I have Heard their returns policy is good for a full refund. If you are persuaded to try a different one you only get one swap as far as I am aware. Hope this helps

It's not a thick mattress. So if you're on the heavy side I'd be wary also don't see it lasting long due to thickness. (edited)

I got an EMMA mattress with same rating of medium to firm. “Nothing but pain” !!

I got an Eve and returned it today as medium firm is not good for side sleepers, I am 6 foot 4 and have perfect BMI. It is hot, bad for sex and doesn't even benefit from proper memory foam experience, previously I have had a 20cm thick memory foam mattress and it was ideal as it was all memory foam so it actually works
