    Good review here mirror.co.uk/tec…423

The review says a wall adapter is included but on the Honor X9 webpage it isn't mentioned, which is it?

"Thankfully it also comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable as well as a wall adapter but the tablet uses 10W wired charging."

    On the Honor X9 page:

    In the box
    1)Tabletx1
    2)Battery ( included) x1
    3)Type-C Cable x1
    4)Quick Start Guide x1
    5)Warranty Card (Dependent on frontline)x1

I got this 2 weeks ago, no charger. Just a 3 amp cable...it really annoyed me because you have to use their charger to get fast charge. I wrote to them and complained.

No charger, and you need to buy their charger for fast charge. (edited)

I was going to buy this as it looked to be a great tablet, then when checking the specs I saw that it had no micro sd slot! So no storage upgrade at all. Poor show, why oh why??

No buy for me then. (edited)

You could use this , wouldn't have it on all the time just when you need to watch stuff50799695-CAuzP.jpg

Mine arrived today. I'm happy with the build quality, and it's got a decent screen too. A little too wide for my taste though... I'm used to 4:3 iPads. It should be great for streaming video though, but not ideal if your main use is browsing or reading ebooks.

The official cover is disappointing. There's no magnetic closure and no auto screen-off. That's pretty poor for a £20 cover. I've noticed that after using it as a stand for an hour it won't close properly as the edge of the cover stays a few mm away from the screen. It does settle down after a while. I went for the official cover thinking it would be better than the usual 3rd party ones you see on Amazon. My advice - don't buy the Honor cover.
    reckoning's avatar
I thought this too, even though there's an option to do with the cover in settings? Shame it's not magnetic in the least, although it's solid enough.

Supports netflix HD does anyone know? I can’t see it listed on the Netflix site. I know the Pad 8 does but does the x9. (edited)

    Yes it does

This is such a great little tablet for the money, although they need to make more cases for it! I got mine at Argos with work discount and it's very helpful to have.
    V6ALFISTI's avatar
Totally agree, very little to fault. Really the only thing is if you want to run the very latest games at full whack then you will have an issue, but even call of duty runs on this at maximum setting on the first parameter and one step down on the second parameter.

Battery life is outstanding, screen is very good, it feels rapid. The face recognition works very well. The only thing that irks me is the screen doesn't go into standby when the case is closed and doesn't turn on when the case is opened, I managed to partly resolve the latter point by turning an accesibility item on, so when the tablet is tilted...the screen turns on. I can verify, No SD card slot. No headphone jack. No charger.

No headphone jack??? Ah damn, just ordered, didn't realise this and need a headphone jack... Balls

Have had mine for a month now and it is a really good tablet. I was close to buying the pad 8 for a while but wasn't sure whether it was going to be just a little too big for me. When this one came out it sat perfectly between the 10" tabs and the size of the Pad 8 so it was a perfect fit. Nice build quality, screen is good (as are viewing angles) and sound is good too. I purchased the official case from Honor also when that was released but not too sure on that. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has the official case and whether it has magnetic closure or not as mine just flaps open at the top which is a bit annoying.

Can you sideload apps on it? How do you find it for streaming ?

    SIM?
    amour3k's avatar
Only if it's mentioned in the above description. :-)

Alternatively, another way of also knowing that a tablet has SIM 'capabilities' within it, is to also look out for certain 'key words', relating to such ...

    Word's like, eg. 4G, LTE, 5G, etc.

How is the charging? If i don’t buy the supercharger are we talking a long long time to charge?
    doc2008's avatar
I got my tablet a couple of days ago and after reading reviews for every tablet in same price range i am really happy i decided upon this one.
Currently sitting with battery at 32%, if i plug in an older mains chargers or one of my older power packs, it shows as charging and will take 3 hours 46 minutes to full charge. I have several 20, 25 and 35 watt chargers and a few fast charging power packs, when i plug these in, it shows as fast charging with 2 hours 30 minutes to full charge. Not sure if the official honor fast charger would be any quicker.

I paid ~£140 for the X8 just a few weeks ago.
  20. TMagic's avatar
Paid the RRP litterally a matter of days ago, got it for my Son, very nice tablet for the money, feels good quality

would like a proper kids case for it which i couldnt find and also a stylus but unsure if they even work with this
    PizzaCake's avatar
It doesn't support an active stylus with pressure sensitivity but you could you use a simple dumb one with a capacitive rubber tip.

Have a look on AliExpress for Honor Pad X9 case or Honor Pad X8 Pro (name of model in China). There will be more choice.

uscool mentioned some good options here

Watched TV and series last night , connected to Bluetooth headset , the 6 speakers also very good

Loving the screen it's very vibrant, 120hz is nice when browsing sites and normal use

The facial recognition to unlock is very handy and so quick , just raise the tablet and it unlocks

Build quality would think this costs more

I've ordered tempered glass screen protector and case from AliExpress will see how they are , not many or hardly anything on eBay or Amazon probably because it's only just released

I'm starting to like honor get a lot for the money

Better hope nothing goes wrong as their customer service and. Warrenty is non existent. Check trust pilot.

I’ve found their live chat to be responsive. For £150 it’s hard to complain and worth a punt

Gah you're killing me, paid £179.99 yesterday.

I will say though I orderded the very nice cover from them about 6pm last night and it arrived free delivery by DHL today. (edited)
    mattneill1983's avatar
    What's it like?
  26. V6ALFISTI's avatar
Great price, I paid £162 price on launch with the free headphones, as I had a family member with an Honor device which gave 10% off the £179.99 launch.

I suspect the 10% will work on the 159 price as well.

x9 120hz screen is nice really enjoying it received it yesturday

I ordered tempered glass from aliexpress, it was perfect.

Seems decent, need an upgrade from the slow and crappy Amazon tablet I have lol

Ordered screen protectors from AliExpress too since they seem non-existent on Amazon and eBay. Hopefully it'll be worth the 98p.

Any recommendations for a fast charger for this?
    Professor_Chaos's avatar
I think only the official fast charger works on this

I’m looking for a tablet to stream Netflix et al to and use Cloud gaming/ remote play with.

I’d been hoping for OLED after being spoilt by the Switch but they seem out of my price range.

Is this good for my needs?
    jack201's avatar
    OLED at this price?

Just tried my blue light code ABLC10 for 10% off but doesn't work annoyingly. Though says it's for X9

    jack201's avatar

ordered. Fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow or Saturday as I will be away all next week. Will keep it sealed in case a better offer comes up next month. I was hoping to order alongside the Magic 5 Pro for additional 10% but they removed the free gifts with that
    mercurio70's avatar
    Author
If you get the Magic 5 Pro for £688 I think that's better than waiting for the free gifts to be offered again. The gifts and bundles tend to be when the price is higher.

I bought this with a cover that supposedly has auto wake/sleep but doesn’t work. Can someone please advise where in the settings i can find this option?
    uscool's avatar
Go into settings, search raise to wake

You'll get options raise to wake and double tap to wake

I have it set to recognise face to unlock it's really quick even in the dark
