Looks a good deal. Still holding out for deals on the Bambino plus and seperate grinder though, to come to total of less than this much.

The Sage grinders aren't great. Baratza Encore ESP or Fellow Opus are better for the same price as the Smart Grinder. £70 for the dose control like on prime day is great value though.

Get a discount code for Kev's coffee blog and go to Sage direct when they have a sale on for the best price for Sage machines.

Grea t price and a great machine. Just to make people aware bean to cup usually means fully automatic. You have to grind, extract and steam separately by hand with this machine so there is a bit of a learning curve. I can't fault mine and would recommend it.

The three year warranty is good. I’m on year 2 and have the occurring issue where the inner screws holding the basket have vibrated loose so now there’s no proper seal. It’s a pain to fix as the holes are not exposed. Just an fyi to any thinking about purchasing it

Great price. Cheapest I've seen this since I got mine pre-pandemic.

Advice - the grinder is terrible. OK to learn with but over time you'll realise it's much better with a separate grinder. I suggest a secondhand Mazzer. That's what I got and it's makes a world of difference. If you're looking new, a Eureka Mignon Specialita is very nice and at the lower end for good grinders price wise. (edited)

Knowing that, Sage Bambino is a good option if you get standalone grinder.

TBF this is a great coffee machine but not officially a bean to cup machine [fully automated]

has anyone experience of the De'longhi / Krups / etc ones?
    jamiemdeal's avatar
Prefer this any day. You have more control over the machine and I personally believe the fully automated machines never get the most out of the beans because you can't really dial them in

I've had this machine for 4 years - It's great and still going strong. If you live in a hard water area though, fill with bottled or filtered water.

Same here, been using a Brita jug to fill the water and never had a problem. Bit fiddly to get the grind settings right when you first get the machine, but once you know what you're doing it's a great machine

Good price but I'd recommend a separate grinder and espresso machine combo (assuming you need espresso making capabilities). That way you can a) get a better grinder and b) use it for other brew methods.

And if you're only drinking Americano type drinks, look at filter/pour over instead and buy the best grinder you can afford. Espresso is a faff to do well

    I couldn't agree more!

I struggled with this and returned it. Very hard to get the grind and volume setting right and other people have agreed. I moved to a bean to cup machine which is so much easier but coffee not quite as good but very acceptable. My thoughts only

This model in black was 399.99£ last year for black friday in the tik-tok shop. I did not even know that tik-tok shops existed! It is not a huge price difference, but if you can, I would say to wait for black friday…

This this has ended now. The original price is £659.99 again so 20% discount now brings it to £527.99

Lovely machine but I need a decaff version.

I just used a permanent marker and wrote DECAFF over the Sage badge. Job done.

will this code work with other sage models - 20% off the Oracle Touch would be £420 off! and bring it below Amazons price.....

Works on the Barista Touch but doesn’t seem to work on the Oracle Touch.

    Also work for the Barista Pro;

How is this different from a delonghi esam?
    rev6's avatar
    That's bean to cup
  18. jcmaton97's avatar
This was great while it lasted. It has now gone up in price though. Other options exist with the same code, not as good though:

Bit of advice... get the pro! The instant heat saves so much time and the results are indistinguishable... steamign milk takes a little longer, but I find it's easy to control the texture as a result.

I have a refurbished DeLonghi automated bean to cup machine bought approx 2 years ago via their eBay refurb store. Very good customer service & a minor issue (milk carafe damaged on delivery, replaced within 48 hours with no fuss & an apology) so good price & guarantee.
Been very reliable since and very happy with the results.
However it does have a facility to use pre ground coffee if you wanted to control the grind & dosing yourself.
I suspect most bean to cup machines would allow you to do this I suspect, so maybe an acceptable halfway house for experimenters who want to use a separate grinder? (edited)

Mine was delivered yesterday. Had my first latte today and loved it. £$%^ all the coffee retailers, bye bye. Thanks to OP to posting this deal.
