National Trust properties are being turned into children’s playgrounds.

That is utter garbage. It’s Far Right nonsense being spread about by insidious organisations based at 55 Tufton Street (check it out) because they hate the idea that the NT is being more inclusive and shedding its old fashioned image to encourage more families to join.

Those people want it to remain stuck in the past, aimed only at the rich, like themselves, and ideally excluding the poor, people of colour, the disabled and those who don’t support Far Right politics.

Yes, children and families are now encouraged - they provide essential income - but properties are NOT being turned into playgrounds. Don’t swallow their propaganda.

Anyone know how to modify the URL to gain a few more tickets??

Just requested another one and it looks like sending th esame barcode so you can simply re-use

Where can I find a list of the places this voucher works with?

Not great for me but thanks anyway.

    14. The National Trust family day pass will be valid for use from Friday, 20th October, 2023 to Friday 15th December, 2023, inclusive.

Nothing personal, but I don't trust the National Trust and it's a crying shame, really.

They've become too far removed from the original purpose.
    Newbold's avatar
Why do you say that? What problems do you have with the NT? How has it moved from its original purpose? You do realise that the campaign against the NT is a political campaign being run from 55 Tufton Street because it doesn't like the idea of inclusiveness and decency in society?

If you have an iPhone you have the option to hide your email (from the website) and Apple auto-generate a fake email on their site but you still get the voucher on your real email. It’s brilliant

You'd have to be mad to willingly give your personal details to Reach Plc. Cold as ice for me.

Amazing that somewhere is offering 3 kids places, there are a lot of 3 children families and it always seems unfair that offers are mostly for families of 4.

I only have 2 kids but am happy to see this

They didn't used to accommodate single parents either. It was ludicrous really, even at the time, requiring two adults to buy a family ticket. Everywhere did it though. Amazing how fast the past can seem like the dark ages.

Do not like the reach.plc web site it takes you to
  10. Rami_Radwan's avatar
These seem to happen a lot. National Trust should just make all of them free admittance all year around
    sossidge's avatar
and we should enact truss’s tax cuts and the staff should all work for free if they really cared about the nation and their trust
  11. Timbo71's avatar
This is great but what about all the existing members - where do we get any benefits???
    gyjlaw's avatar
Existing members get benefits all year round - free parking and free entry to almost all NT properties

What’s really ironic about this thread are the comments attacking the National Trust for daring to modernise itself - even though the campaign is being organised by 55 Tufton Street and even though their success would mean an end to offers like this one.

The aim is to put the Trust back in time 50 years so it’s reserved for the affluent as it used to be. No kids, no freebies, no riff raff. Lovely people at Tufton Street, tentacles everywhere.

Assume can't be used in National Trust Scotland / Historic Scotland venues?

    Assumption correct.

Is it still the same generic barcode? If so I won't claim another

This is great. I like to go a couple of times per year to the few properties and estates around here.

Saves ever having to join up.

Why bother with an annual membership? We’ve been 6 times this year from these offers

Note that parking charges are excluded. They can sometimes be quite pricey so be careful if you think you are getting a free day out.
    Epping2CPH's avatar
We been to 2 NT properties in the last 5 months using these free vouchers and not paid for parking at either.
Not saying they all don't charge. I don't know, but up to now we been ok.

I’d happily pay the membership fee but because they keep offering these vouchers, why should I pay? when thousands get it free, why shouldn’t I?

Anyone else getting an error about multiple submissions? Admittedly, I did apply on my phone on my name, but now trying on computer on wife's name, but getting the below no matter what I do:

Sorry! Only one entry is allowed.Multiple submissions are disabled for this form.
    Shovon's avatar
They're tracking your IP address to make sure you only do one submission I think.

Do one on your phone using data only, then clear your cookies and connect the phone to your WiFi and do another submission that way.

Make sure you check their website for openings times before you set off. We drove an hour to visit a property listed as open on Google, but on arrival found out it only applied to the grounds and the house was closed. Not amused.

Yep, always check the website / social media pages. Not just National Trust, any website tbh, because a 'quick google' often gives incorrect answers.

Nice one, was going to NT on the weekend anyway, now I'm going for free!
  34. Ladybristol's avatar
Anyone have a barcode that they will not be using please? I am too late to apply but would love to take my daughter at the weekend.
    MrFizzy's avatar
Isn't it the same barcode for everyone? I'm suprised it hasn't been published somewhere.
