    Which park is recommended?

Milton Keynes is probably our favourite but honestly they are all good, so just depends where you are travelling from. If you do go to Matlock Bath be prepared to do a lot of walking uphill.

Once I purchase voucher and I intend to use in kids school summer holidays. When do I redeem the voucher from my account before it expires?
    iamnewtodeals's avatar
    Author
You can redeem the voucher anytime before a certain date then you have until the 30th Sept 2024 to visit the park. The good thing is you don’t even need to prebook your visit you just turn up and present your voucher.

Maybe not a good time to post this deal due to the 5 month redemption period.
It seems buying now means you have to visit before next Easter, when the parks will be closed for the winter.

Wowcher says "This deal will be advertised on site until 02.09.2024.

Might be better to post the deal in the spring?
Then the 5 month redemption period would cover Easter and the summer hols.

No, what it means is you purchase from wowcher but then you physically have to redeem for an actual voucher within 5 months via wowcher website or app. I know it’s confusing but when you purchase this it will all become clear. They do it this way l think so you can change your mind and decide not to take up the offer but get the money credited to your wowcher account if you do not redeem in time. (edited)

Vouchers are valid for redemption for five months from purchase date.
Valid operational dates 10th Feb to 30th Sep 2024

Is this going to cause any issues. I'm considering getting one for using next year but I don't want to be forced into going in Feb
    iamnewtodeals's avatar
    Author
l’ve bought these the last 3 years and never had any issues, always bought this time of year and the ones l bought last year used in the very last day 30th Sept.

actually all it means is you need to just download the voucher within 5 months of purchase. If you’ve used wowcher before you’ll understand how it works. (edited)

How does Bath and Sheffield compare to Warrington?

I've been to Warrington with the kids (age 3 and 5) and they really enjoyed it (edited)
    reckoning's avatar
It's not bad, it was heavily criticised on opening (Rother Valley) for reusing things from older parks.

    Kids love it (edited)

Hi I've got this voucher in my wowcher wallet now. Not sure when we're going yet but do I need to click redeem now or do I have 3/5 months till it expires before I need to click redeem

As per website, “Your voucher will auto-redeem for a family ticket to Gulliver’s on 31st January 2024 After your voucher has auto-redeemed for a ticket, you will not be able to redeem your voucher for another deal on site or redeem it for Wallet Credit. In addition, no refunds will be accepted after your voucher has auto-redeemed for a ticket.”
So basically you don’t need to do anything and then it just sits in your wallet and when you want to go just either print the voucher or show on your phone on the day for scanning.

just a kind reminder to use TCB as well, with a new account, 5.95% cashback. And promo code VCNEW4WOW15NOV a further 15% (also new account). New email isn't hard to get. P.S. i had ordered before I remembered the TCB :..(
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Using the promo code will cause TCB to decline, always does with Groupon, Wowcher, Buyagift etc...
However, don't let that stop you trying because 15% off is better than the cashback.

Ah so i redeem the tiket and just turn up in august 2024 is that correct?

If i redeem today can i use in august?

Extra 10% off with Blue Light Card as well.

The savings claimed by Wowcher against a full price of £99 are a worst case.
You can get tickets online for a family of 4 for quite a bit less than £99.
All parks have £15 or £21 tickets for most dates in the spring, if you book online just 2 days in advance.
Kids under 90cm are free, so they may not even need a ticket.

Seems very complicated been to Warrington grand daughter 11 loves it
  15. mocmocamoc's avatar
The Sheffield one is good, quite a bit smaller than Warrington through but newer, quite a lot indoors and a few premium attractions like a climbing wall included.

Kids always like Warrington, haven’t been to Matlock in years, I recall it was hilly and a ride you had to pedal a really long way

I live about 20 mins from the Warrington one. Grown up with it, I’ve been to it a few times now since I’ve got a toddler. Still love it but it needs a good lick of paint lol

Ive purchased it but it says redeem your code by 2bd of april. I want to go in summer holidays is that not possible?
    rborob's avatar
Can you not just pre-book tickets around march time for the holidays?

And just to follow up, once a voucher has been redeemed you have until 30th Sept 2024 to use it at the park. Hopefully this makes sense.

So is this correct i got the ticket today. Now i can redeem by 2nd april. So for e.g i press redeem on 2nd april do i then select then what date i want to go for summer holidays and book or can i book towards the time/nearer the time?

    From gullivers world website

If you have purchased or been gifted a Wowcher Family Gift Ticket you will need to redeem your wowcher code following the instructions on your purchase receipt from Wowcher.

You will then be served a ticket with a barcode for scanning at the gates. If you do not have a barcode, you have not redeemed your wowcher correctly.

Your ticket is valid for selected visit dates until Sept as detailed on your Wowcher. Please check the date exclusions making your journey!

There is no need to pre-book your visit. Don't forget to bring along your barcoded Wowcher ticket on the day!

Didn't even know there was anything but water at rother valley... What's it like for a 10yr old daughter.

Yeah so still incredibly confused, bought a family ticket, downloaded the wowcher app, clicked redeem it expecting a big tick or fanfare but it just opened a terms box saying how to redeem, which also makes no sense to me. Clicking get voucher opens a voucher which implies can be used for a ticket OR account credit. On one bit it says must be redeemed by 2nd Feb but another says will auto redeem on 31st Jan. If I just leave the redeem it t&cs box open am I good to go? Do I have do do anything/put the voucher code in etc on the Gulliver's website?
    Kk3hlc's avatar
You should get a wowcher code on top once you cluck redeem you print that off and take it with you?
  23. Kk3hlc's avatar
So when ive redeemed it, it says wowcher code then underneath that its got the order number and then item number

It's been a while since I've been to the Warrington one, but I genuinely wonder how the theme park is still operating.

On my last visit with my sibling, on one ride (it's a big spinning circle lined with chairs on the outside) the central control door came loose and began to hit the chairs adjacent to me - luckily there wasn't many people on, else they'd be whacked.

On the same day towards the end, we was about to board the big wooden coaster and was waiting in the wooden waiting room where you board on. We were walking up and had just missed the previous train, and there was another 2 people in front of us - so missed it by the skin of out teeth.

As soon as the train went up the lift hill, a big pipe in the wooden room where we were waiting blew up and became loose. I think it was a pressure pipe or similar, because I saw smoke come from it when it burst. The ride operator said the ride is closed now, and told us to exit the waiting room.

As I walked out to another area of the park, I could see the full train stuck at the top of the lift hill full of people. Sad thing was, that when the theme park was about to close, they were all still there at the top. So for a good hour or so.

Tbh, I think that experience nailed it for me. 2 failures on the same day. Obviously I think this was a good 6-7 years ago but I've not been back since but from my recollection visiting over my younger years - the place looked the same . I will never take my own kids here (when I have them) based on my own experience.
