These AirFryers are getting up into regular oven wattage now.
    DanMck's avatar
The heating element in my oven was recently replaced and it's rated at 2000w. I totally understand that an oven is a bigger space and takes longer to heat and cook stuff than an air fryer but these wattages are getting ridiculous. I dont think people are aware some of the dual air fryers are more powerful than ovens even if the cooking time is reduced it is still something to be aware of. (edited)

Is there a single large drawer available that'll fit this one?

Salter ek4628 8l was on offer a couple of weeks from Robert dyas ago £62-£68 or suink best airfryer I got was so responsive and amazing u can fit a lot of food inside huge upgrade from my 3litres tower airfryer which lasted 4-5 years. Fits my kitchen small and compact since it's one drawer and so powerful 1800watts

Stick to Ninja, cant go wrong. Worth paying extra
    RagnarUK's avatar
51452448-KSIgy.jpgThis is just as good as a Ninja and is £89.99
I got mine for £30 odd quid via some old vouchers and it's a brilliant air fryer and cooks food to perfection
Got a pal who's just payed £189 for his Ninja air fryer who's jaw dropped when he seen how good my air fryer was and how much I payed :/
Ninja make great products, but when you can get something equally as good for half the money 💰 then it's a no brainer for me...but I'm a tight git
    And it's larger too ...9 litres :/
    Every litre counts. (edited)

No. Aldi staff will probably have them all and tomorrow when you go they will tell you they never got any or they still haven’t received their delivery. This has has happened to me previously with other special buys.

I can confirm that our store didn't receive the dual-basket air fryers yet, just the 3.5l single basket ones; we are, however, keeping them off the shop floor (as instructed by head office!) to avoid theft and to stop customers bulk-buying too... it's not (always) down to staff nabbing them all first!

    None in three Plymouth stores

They will be giving these away free with a packet of Kellogg's soon Have they responded to Asda's ultra cheap dual I wonder?

    Heat added. (edited)

Has anyone got one and recommend?

For £50, it would be worth just having it on show
  10. Marshall_Galloway's avatar
    Is it 2 4l or 2 8l?

If you click through it tells you:

Great price to hot there. But Aldi guarantee is not straight forward after 6 months. Example, if you would take this item back to Asda after 6 months and it is defective, you would get a replacement or money back there and then. With Aldi, the shop would refuse a return and advise you to speak to their call centre, who would arrange to collect the item, you have to take time off to be at home. Then you wait for a decision.... Then you get notified that you will receive a replacement, which you have to in to receive you can't collect from the store. This was my experience when we bought a food mixer. Just be aware.... Good luck
    po57405k's avatar
Had the same with my shark hoover but they sent me a new one after using it for nearly 4 years
  12. avalonsunset's avatar
Went for the Asda one instead at £55. More pre-set functions and the baskets can be washed in the dishwasher.
    m_undersingh's avatar
Or the Aldi one could just be less efficient. Higher wattage doesn’t mean better or faster. Only real way to know is to test them and then compare

Ask staff member, mine hide them at the back as people was stealing things, had to pay before they let me take it, although they didn't have room in mine either and ticket still said £69.99

Got last one today, as I was paying staff member and her mum came in and got 2 out of the back lol

    Teflon coating? No thank you!
    jamesconner3's avatar
Where does it say that? And what coating do others use/have?
  16. ipmanwck's avatar
Cheaper than the food you put in
Got another version for 80 and thought that was a steal... So much faster than heating up a massive oven. Can't see any advantage buying a 200 pound one over a cheap one
  17. mdel84's avatar
when do they get put out? just got back from mine and nothing there.
    tom1234321's avatar
Same never came in today said try Sunday for my store...

Anyone who has one - are the trays dishwasher safe? (I'm assuming so...)
    Heath_Linacre's avatar
We’ve a Ninja and after cooking we fill it with water and some fairy liquid and set it running for 10 minutes whilst we eat. It loosens all the hard excess fat etc makes it much easier to clean
  21. FunsizeR's avatar
Do Aldi do the silicone trays for these or shall I just size them up and check Amazon?
    tom1234321's avatar
They did in mine, they scanned at £2.99 each but label on shelf said £1.49 for air fryer accessories with same codes so they changed price for me.

They basically had round, square, rectangle silicone trays (all in colour red but who cares) along with carbon steel rectangular loaf tin and circular tins like normal oven ones, just smaller.

    Hope this helps. (edited)

Word of advice dont ask member of staff for air fryer in full ear shot of other customers. Staff member was about to get me one but then it turned into a scene from Finding Nemo with the seagulls "Mine! Mine! Mine!"

Basically about 8 people also then went "can i have on too?" Before the staff decided to say no to us all.
    Hussain_Ashraf's avatar
Great marketing idea that. Just need an insider to do that in one of their stores for a really overpriced product and voila. Sales through the roof
  25. Sinspawn's avatar
Question for anyone who knows about these but would this or the Asda one be better? Or is it one of those they're all the same kinda things?
    _Titan_Warrior_X's avatar
I'd go for Asda. I have their 6.2l large air fryer and runs like a dream.
  26. dfaz's avatar
I’ve got an old ActiFry air fryer which is slowly falling apart and was considering swapping it out but I’ve always liked the paddle design as it moves stuff around whilst cooking to get an even cook with the option to use a basket if I want.

How do these types cook everything through when it’s all packed on top of each other?
    po57405k's avatar
You take out draw and shake them.

Still never understood why they never made dual air fryers so they could be made into one big one? I know some do this now....... evolution 🧬 why wasn't this just done by ALL from the start 🤷🏼‍♂️ (edited)

If you want to cook 2 different things with 2 different cooking times and temperatures maybe?

My local Aldi only had 5 units, and the towns population is 75,000.
Gratz to those who got one.
  32. Funnycatmeme's avatar
There is WAY too much food in those drawers in the picture. the stuff at the bottom will be cold/uncooked.
  33. claire.meehan's avatar
Do uthink if iwent aldi late tonight they would be out already?
    MoneyMonkey's avatar
Even if they were the pricing would likely not be live on the system and be set at the old higher price until tomorrow.
  34. mbjamal's avatar
With these dual air fryers, when in use can you operate one basket by choice? Or do both always operate?
    Jon_atkinson's avatar
Yes can do 1 at a time
  35. tom1234321's avatar
Forget everything I said, I got one, they left in back because people are stealing in this store so made me pay for it first

I also got silicone trays at £1.49 each as said on label but scanned a £2.99 so worth checking that too before they change the price. Got them more for a "just in case" moment. (edited)

Just been to Neston, all gone within 10 minutes of opening. Anyone know if any in Bromborough, Wirral?
    MinerWilly's avatar
With having six fingers on each hand they where probably carrying them out 2 at a time.
  37. WhisperingD's avatar
None left in my store! Damn HUKD!!
  38. spacemunky's avatar
Does a duel basket airfryer use twice as much electricity when you heats both baskets?
    Heath_Linacre's avatar
If times are that hard don’t bother.
Besides, I do not know the answer
  39. livingthelife07's avatar
Purchased one of these for myself a few months ago, paid nearly twice the price. I use it most days. Haven’t had any problems at all. Just picked another up this morning for my Mother, my local store (Peterborough) had plenty of stock
    bellboys's avatar
Yes but still much less than your oven if used correctly.
