How many amperes per hour battery

    This has an 8A/H battery.
    From the reviews.

Sweet - more e-bikes with food delivery drivers on the sidewalks

I don't see why that's an issue - we have footpaths here, your average American Deliveroo rider's unlikely to order their bike from over here!

Steel frame so very heavy and I don't think you can take any powered bike on a train or any powered or unpowered bike on a bus in Kent. I'd like to be proved wrong.
PS you can take a scooter on a bus in Kent, if it's been inspected

You can take legal ebikes on trains, I do it 2 or 4 times most weeks in Kent.
You can't take escooters on trains, the same as you wouldn't be allowed a Yamaha R1 or any other motorcycle on the train. Though of course plenty of people do take ebikes that aren't legal, but most people can't tell the difference.
If you want to take it on a bus, I'd suggest getting a folding bike bag specific to 20" bikes. Then you haven't got a bike, you've just got a big bag.

Anyone know what brakes this model comes with, because text description says v brakes but photos shows disc brakes, also shows District 5 for name on bike frame! Just asked Argos live chat and phoned but they don't seem to know! Been given manufacturer insync phone number to phone tomorrow. (edited)

"After purchase you might lie to take this bike to mechanic for a proper check up."

Because you are embarrassed that you bought Argos rubbish..?

No... because assembly quality of Argos bikes is poor in general. Each bike should be thoroughly checked after purchase. If you can do it yourself, then it is fine. However I assume most of people buying bike at this price point has very limited technical knowledge about e-bikes.

Regardless of the RRP, £350 for this is fantastic value.

That is why I recommended taking bike to a mechanic. Halfords offers free health check or £30 for bronze service.
This is a super cheap bike from Argos. Unfortunately one can't expect top quality at that price.

    Inflated RRP

Not worth at this price. (edited)

May have an inflated RRP, but this looks like a pretty good deal at this price.

I got a similar bike (Swift Liberte) that ended up being £260 after a refund from Amazon a couple of years.
I didn't expect much, but was very pleasantly surprised. It's not an amazing bike, but for the price, hoping this is pretty similar, I'd be very happy with it.
Does anyone know what hub motor it uses? The MXUS in my bike is surprisingly nippy - I think it's well setup for the 20" wheel/15.5mph limit so it makes full use of the power it has.
Of course, if you actually need to lift the bike up more than getting it on a train say, definitely consider the weight.

I bought Swift Liberte fro Amazon, like you I didn't expect much but it has been trouble free and was amazing value for money, not particularly heavy, very easy to fold, quite nippy, my wife loves it

    What's the expected mileage?
    Aznar's avatar
    Author
Mileage depends on many factors. How heavy you are, what terrain you ride on, how much do you help etc.
Battery on this bike is small. 8Ah, so don't expect much, maybe 25 miles. But on a positive note you should be able to replace battery at very reasonable price.

Many thanks for the detailed answer.
Unfortunately, now coming up as out of stock.
