Seems a decent price 8 x 2500mah Ni-Mh AA batteries for £6.99. Also 1000mah AAA x 8.
Although says precharged doesn't mention low self discharge so maynot be good for long lasting low power devices.
Probably national.

I purchased these AA battery's 3 years ago and tested them with a battery capacity testing charger... They report a capacity of 1200 and we're garbage.. always dead when you need them and we're not that cheap considering... Do yourself a favour and just buy some scamazon basics rechargable.. price to capacity they are brilliant

I concur, also had these batteries and they didn't last long at all, 3 uses at the most before they were hopeless

I have to agree with the comments of poor batteries, I've had the black and green tronics and this same pack of multi coloured, awful batteries, never seem to charge properly etc etc, they are now in the bin

Eneloop are the best. I have not had any issues with them at all. Energizer and Duracell ones just can't match them at all. Used 7day own brand in the past and then moved to Eneloop and was surprised how much better they are. Got a few packs of IKEA brand too which many say are very similar to Eneloops.

Oh forgot to mention I've got a few packs of the Lidl ones too which were ok. (edited)

Been using Eneloop amongst others for years and they are the best without a doubt. Buying cheaper is false economy.

I've been buying lidl AAs for years. They were mostly very good. The ones from 2021 onwards are awful

These are by far the best rechargeable batteries I've had. So much better than Duracell, Energizer, and the awful Amazon basics ones. The only ones I've used that better them are eneloops.

I also found Duracell to be awful. I've had more failures with them than any other ones. Best staying away from them.

I saw these today - as they were so colourful - are Tronic a good brand? Who makes them?
  9. LadyEleanor's avatar
Yes, National. Also a more standard pack of 4 for £4.
Ladda ones are likely a ten times better buy.

Hit and miss.. Have both side of experiences with different batches.. Alas just charge them before I need them and they do the job..

But charge and store doesn't seem to do it (edited)

Where’s the deal? This is the original price! (edited)

I had similar problems with these when I bought a few years ago, lost charge and wouldn’t charge again after a month or two. Others reported that they were really good but a bit of research at the time suggested there were different manufacturers and one was good.

Can’t remember the detail now but you could tell from the packaging I think. (edited)

    These are rubbish!! Stay away!
1 have the AAA, for a 5 watt Lidl Torch which takes 3 batteries.
1 use the torch in short bursts of 5 seconds maybe 10-20
    times in 8 hours = 100 seconds.
They need charging after that as the torch is considerably dimmer... i think the problem is they don't charge well or they don't hold charge.
Either way, they are bad quality! !

Utter trash. Don't hold charge long

These days there seems to be quite a few poor quality rechargeable batteries on the market I've found several that either don't come close to advertised capacity or fail quickly I find the IKEA ones are most consistent

Bought 6 /7 packs over 2 years. All sh!!e. Never again save your money and buy a decent brand.buy cheap buy twice waste more money than renowned dearer brands.no point chancing with this crap.the Lidl 3 year guarantee also on them back then wasn't easily honoured.managed to argue case with store manager and get 3.99 back on 1 pack (faulty batteries).the rest are still garbage barely hold a charge.

Seems okay for me. Used a good quality charger. Charges a little above 2500 according to the charger.
