Its a good deal! Ive owned the silver version of this for just over a year since it appeared as a deal on here.

Only complaints i have is its not a 4 slice toaster (so what i do is put 4 pieces of bread in, toast it once, then flip the front piece of bread to the back and toast again. That way all bread is toasted on each side and its all still warm and it hasn't burnt )

The other is the panini part is too small and it just doesn't get used much in our house, maybe it will for you though.

So can't do 4 slices without turning and can't do panini's - what can it do adequately?

what makes a kettle and toaster worth £144 on sale unless i've completely missed something groundbreaking?
    Crossy's avatar
Quick boil, has a hold temp feature, so after it boils it will keep the temp for around 30 mins, meaning if you want another cuppa you don't have to reboil the kettle, you can choose temp of water... The toaster is quick, can choose from preselected colours for toast, it also doubles as a panini press and grill, and both are energy-efficient, but I'm sure the skin-flints on here will tell you a £3 kettle and toaster from Asda is just as good and it's just all branding. I've got both of these, it toasts the bread well on both sides, I havent had any issues. The grill part is great for cheese on toast also. The kettle is very fast, for some reason I get issues with foamy tea now and again which is strange but not really an issue.
edit - I've never been in a situation where I need 4 pieces of toast straight away I'll just make 2 batches if I need to. (edited)

I could do with an 8 slice toaster, never mind 4. Big family - all leaving together in the morning. It would be horrible to only be able to do 2 at a time

Who even still has a kettle in 2024? Crazy.
    holidaymann's avatar
I’d hazard a guess that 99% of people still use a kettle

cant believe people spend this much on a toaster and or kettle. It maybe a good deal vs rrp and ya ya thats what HOTUKD is all about but we're so lost if spending this much on something to boil water and toast bread. Mother in law bought a Smeg kettle. Its the same as any other kettle with a smeg badge and it boils louder than my £15 one. Worlds gone mad.

I don’t think £140 for the two appliances is that bad, you could spend a lot more! It’s feature rich, but not for everyone. Toy meets necessity.

7 toast settings! So is that like:
    1. Bread
    2. Warm bread
    3. Hot bread
    4. Toast
    5. Burnt toast
    6. Set off the smoke alarms
    7. Call the fire brigade in preparation

Was so tempted to order this - BLC holders can get an extra £5 off, making it £139...

...however, reading reviews on both Ninja's own site and Amazon, there's a lot of negative comments even from Ninja fans. There appears to be a common 'feature / fault' on the toaster, only toasting on one side, the pannini holder seems poor quality and reports of broken handles and fixtures, and on both the kettle and toaster reports of the copper effect peeling off.
Also as previously mentioned, you can only toast 2 slices at once, and it appears to take a long time to toast, so perhaps not ideal for families.

Sadly this doesn't appear up to the usual high standards of Ninja products, so I'm going to pass this time...

(Heat given for posting the deal though!)

Ninja don’t really have the best customer service either. I have a Ninja Foodi device that stopped working after 18 m just out of warranty and their reply in short was: too bad, buy another one. Their products, despite looking great, are poor quality and not build to last. There is no option to repair their products either. It’s a shame, but my experience put me off ninja altogether.

We finally get a toaster which can hold a full slice of Warbutons but it can only do 2 slices? Well maybe in another decade we will finally solve the UK bread-dont-fit-our-toasters fiasco.

I have the toaster and like it. The panini function and the grill are used enough to justify the extra spend.

Need a new toaster and kettle and have a copper microwave so it would go with that but after watching some reviews on the Toaster I think I will have to pass.

Cheers, missed a similar deal last time... Should replace our aging Sage K&T nicely and hopefully ditch the well used panini press but will have to test that function and see. Also be nice to have a simple cheese on toast without having to turn on the oven... Boy I miss eye level grills

Thanks OP - I had the black version in my basket with 10% discount but sold out by the time I went to buy it! I’ll take this £18 cheaper!! Nice post!

Does anyone know about this kind of toaster that doesn’t cost £144? Thanks

Love the saving, love my Ninja Speedi Bake.
However.....the Mrs won't let me buy this. She says it's a ridiculous price and she wants a 4 slice toaster!
    :0(
Love a gadget and looks so slick! Guess she may be right though. £70 prob biting point.

Well looks like I'm off in search of a decent 4 slice toaster kettle combo!

Ordered this yesterday, delivered twenty minutes ago, can't fault the delivery time, you even get a decent pair of tongues and a ninja embroidered apron!!

This is a good deal, I paid a fair bit more for mine last year. Personally I love them both, I use the kettle for 85degrees for my green tea 👌🏼 toaster works perfectly for toast and I like the bagel function and my son makes paninis most days. No issues here
