The smart theater-to-go that follows the fun
Be ready when the big screen beckons. Bring the action with The Freestyle Gen 2 with Gaming Hub, a smart theater you can take to go. Booming 360° sound turns any seat into the best seat with the best view. It automatically brings you the best experience at any size while adjusting focus, keystone and leveling—all so you can make motion picture magic in minutes.

The world is your theater
Pick a spot, any spot. Just place it, tilt it and watch content come to life with the smart theater that makes it simple. Take it to go for all your travels, whether it's across the country or just across the yard. The cradle stand gives you floor-to-ceiling flexibility with a rotation of 180 degrees-always giving you the best view.

We’ll set the scene
Let The Freestyle Gen 2 with Gaming Hub do the work to bring you the best view. Auto Leveling keeps the screen horizontal and prevents distortions, even on a tilted surface. Auto Focus ensures a clear picture, and Auto Keystone measures all angles to project at the universal 16:9 ratio.*

Your home base
Access everything. Work out, follow a recipe or play a game—all from one portable smart theater.¹,² It's got your content covered with the streaming services you love. It's the first projector with far-field voice control for hands-free flexibility, so you can take your hobbies to go.

Game all day
Where gaming comes together. Stream your favorite games right from your TV. No console required.

Try this on for size
Need to size things up or down? The Freestyle Gen 2 with Gaming Hub has it covered, no need to move your image around. When the wall or your surface isn’t quite right, this smart theater-to-go makes it easy to shrink down the image, move it around and project from 30 to 100 inches.

We’re all ears
You’ve got the power. Find all your favorite shows, turn up the volume and take control of your connected devices—all by using the Voice Assistant that’s built right into The Freestyle. Everyday viewing isn’t just entertaining, it’s also easy.

Most definitely High Def
Jump to a new dimension with Full High Definition. With 1080X1920 resolution, you can sit up closer than with HD, making everything larger, crisper and clearer. Games become grander, movies more magical and sports more sensational with this full HD quality.

£549 on Amazon, should be eligible for the cashback as well right?

It's probably resulting in giving projectors a bad name.

Looks like a cheap one off amazon or ebay

There's loads of knockoff ones being advertised on FB right now, they cost about £40 from alibaba and sell in the UK for about £100.

check AliExpress they do laser projects for less,

if your willing to take the warranty risk (edited)

Having previously owned Panasonic and Epson projectors I would not touch a cheap one on AliExpress but checked anyway: a lot of their "4k ones" only have a 1920*1080 optical resolution...so 1080p.

What’s the difference between this and gen 1?

I think it's a quicker interface and the option to use two to make one big screen, which is a gimmick....

I have first gen and think it's very good once you land on the thing you're watching. wireless dolby is good

I don't think this qualifies under the Samsung cashback scheme as it isn't under the list of qualifying list of products, and "PRC Direct" isn't listed as a participating retailer. "PRC HiFi & Video" is listed but I don't think it's the same place.

I'm super interested in getting this projector regardless, good specs for the cost.

Better getting the tank laser projector mobile phone

Just out of curiosity, how do you rationalise buying these projectors over big screen TVs given the price?
    manka's avatar
my freestyle projects on to my 100" projector screen, I can't fit nor afford a 100" TV on my chimney breast

Who would pay this much for a 1080p projector these days?
    bigN13's avatar
i would ... for the right price... it can be used when on the go i.e. camping, caravans etc.

Incidentally, can anyone explain how to quickly check if the one you have is Gen 1 or Gen 2?
    edengarden's avatar
    Go to settings, about projector.
    Model number there.
Alternatively go to Samsung smart things on a phone, check projector version there.

Would this work on a pitched ceiling? Can’t get a TV on a wall comfortably in the bedroom so thinking if this would work pointed up but ceiling follows the roof pitch.
    amb47uk's avatar
Don't see why you couldn't adjust it with the keystone to suit

I have gen 2. I got it set in the bedroom. Use a pulldown projector screen from Vonhaus. I set it to 90" screen. Could even be bigger, but then I would be moving my head left to right.
    I would recommend it.
To answer someone else's question, yes got to be dark to be able to have a good watching experience. I hope this helps someone

Do you have a link to the projector screen? We'd probably be interested in getting this in our bedroom if there's a half-decent screen available for a half-decent price!

Purchased through Samsung and delivered yesterday. We use it in the bedroom for movie nights with the kids. Really good although the fan can get quite loud and intrusive. Works great with a samsung phone.

Has anyone linked their gaming console to this using the Gaming Hub? Also thinking of using it for the likes of Zwift? Any experience?
