Not as good deal as December one when the soundbar was sold for £299 and with the £200 cashback it cost only £100. As soon as Samsung announces a cashback deal the retailers up the prices as they want a slice of the cashback.

Was this for the Q700 or Q600? Im tempted to buy the Q700 and almost convinced myself to take the plunge but how can I now after reading your comment.

Can Rear speakers be added? The last image shows two rear speakers but when searching on the website no images show the rear speakers.

Yes, SWA 9500s, not 9200s. I had this soundbar, but the A model that came out 2 years ago. I was not impressed with it. I added the rears, and it was a big improvement. However, the 600 and 700 models are not great. Go for 800 or higher.
Also, the rear speakers are not cheap. I paid £200 for mine, and that was the best price I found after keeping an eye on them for 6 months. Sold them for £150 and the soubdbar for £200, but overall, I paid £600 for that system. Got £350 in total for them. Paid £375 for the q930b with rears included. Unless you can't afford the rears now, go for the 930 model. I think you pay about £400 for it. Better value and its rears sound better, even though they are the same model.
Personally, I don't see the point of a Dolby Atmos soundbar without rears.

    £449 - £200 = £249. Correct me if wrong?

£199.99 refers to the Q600C price after cashback.

When you could spend the same money on a pair of awesome, small active stereo speakers, I don't get how these expensive sound bars find a market

Can you do Dolby Atmos with them small active speakers? I don't think so. DA is the selling point here.

The price has been lowered to £ 399 - £200 cashback
    Cracking deal (edited)

    I've had cashback 5 times..
The first 4 times where flawless.

I'm still waiting for the 5th payment, it's been 51 days now and my claim was approved on the 15 of December. The tracking just says "reward processing" I've contacted them 3 times with no reply, I'll need to phone them tomorrow to chase it up.

    Samsung Q700C aswell (edited)

I had the 700a, which came out 2 years ago. I was not impressed with it. I added the rears, and things got better. I would go for the 800 model or higher. 600 and 700 are not that great, IMO. I sold mine for £200.

Is this good with the LG C2 EVO 65 or should I get an LG soundbar?
    sheffield788's avatar
It should work with any TV, but it has extra features, and it links better with a Samsung TV. Maybe LG soundbars work better with LG TVs, I have no idea.

Bought the q600c 2 weeks ago. Wasnt impressed with it until i upgraded to a new tv

Didnt handle stereo well which is all the tv output but works great with 5.1 and atmos

Are you sure it's not to do with the cable?

Total Digital has the q700c for £100 less. Not a participant retailer, but you can try price match with the participant retailers, and you may end up with a bargain.

I tried my luck but they refused.

Richer sounds should price match plus £10 or is it 10%

Looking to buy my first soundbar/system so not very clued up on these. Can someone please share their thoughts on the Q930c and Q700c. I can get the Q930c for £450 (after cashback), so I'm wondering if the Q930c is worth the £200 more. Since this will be my first sound system I don't have any particular expectations other than to make watching movies with my children more enjoyable. My budget is flexible but I want to get the one that's more value for money. I should also add that I own a Samsung 2019 QLED 4K Q90R TV if that should make any difference to my choice of soundbar. If anyone can please share their thoughts on this I'd be very grateful.
