OnePlus Watch 2 up for pre-order. Comes with free Buds 3 and 10% student discount.

Looks like it could be one of the best Android Wear watches.

From The Verge: The most interesting thing about the OnePlus Watch 2’s hardware is it features two separate chipsets: the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 and the BES 2700 MCU... The BES 2700 MCU will run an RTOS and handle background activity and “simple tasks.” Meanwhile, the Snapdragon W5 will run more intensive tasks like apps. This, plus a 500mAh battery, is what nets you that supposed 100 hours of battery life.

Why are yt sites and oneplus banging on how brilliant the battery life is cos you can get 2 whole days or 100 hours (4 days) like it's a class leader. Huawei watches give 7 days with hard use or 2-3 weeks with moderate to light use. Now THAT'S industry leading. (edited)

    2 completely incomparable softwares.

How'd you get the £50 off?

Is it a no brainer to get the galaxy watch 6 classic over this for around the same price (via EPP & with trade in)?

This does look nice but would like the blood pressure and ECG functions which I don't think OPW2 has.

Currently using a OnePlus 10T phone. (edited)

You need to download a modified APK to be able to use those features on a non-Samsung device.

You get much battery battery life and build quality on the OnePlus and once you factor in selling the Buds the price of this drops to about £160-ish.

You had me at "badminton mode"

I wish they had a smaller size. It's
too big and heavy for my wrist.
Was getting it for £192 with the £50 code and student discount
    quglarz's avatar
How to use student discount on OnePlus plz?

Bought the 12 last week and got free buds. Now got this for £219 with free buds for the wife! Thanks for helping me get away with the impulse buy OnePlus! (edited)

Every impulsive OnePlus purchase is ultimately made with sound judgement.

If it had BP functionality and didn't have that weird bar from the crown to the on /off button then for me it'd be in contention
    jamesturner280783's avatar
Exactly that. The weird bar put me off. Wonder if it's housing the battery? (edited)

It sounds like OP are trying to be too clever with regards to trying to get extended battery life from this early review:

Mobvoi got the battery life right early on with the dual layer screen but don't help themselves thanks to the poor record on software updates.

The TW3 did finally get WearOS 3...only 2 years late

Still love my TW3 Ultra though. I've buy a TW5 but the new Digital crown is on the wrong side for lefties

I've got the ticwatch pro 5 and usually get 4 days of battery life. it'll do well to better that but nice looking watch

Don't buy from these jokers. Their customer support is atrocious, they have owed me a refund since last year and don't even meaninfully engage as to why they can't give me my money back, most emails go unreplied to.

Even cheaper at £192 with student discount
  13. jc5650's avatar
Great deal, voted hot! Thanks OP! (edited)

Looks like this is a win.

  15. coolboy101's avatar
Thanks OP just bought for £192.10 with the student discount. TopCashback is also 4.25%, but use of codes/student discount may void this. Will sell the earbuds to make for a pretty cheap smartwatch!

Signed in then applied the coupon and it worked! Thanks op!

Just ordered silver with bluebuds with April 1 delivery? (edited)

Looks like that model is more popular so has long delivery times. Black says "ships in 7 days"

Are the Buds 3 newly released? First time I've heard of them.

Edit: Just had a look. How come they're so cheap? They're currently £89. Are they not the best buds OnePlus are offering? I have the Buds 2 Pro, the Gen 1 of the line up, and they are brilliant. If the Buds 3 are a marked upgrade I'd probably buy them. (edited)

    Same size and wear os

Isn't the watch 2 smaller and lighter?

Anyone know what the buds can be sold for? Can't seem to see any sold listings on ebay.
    BigTony123555's avatar
I sold mine for £100 when I got the OnePlus 12

    Really nice looking watch this
  23. Opethian's avatar
That's a nice-looking smartwatch. It might be helpful to list WatchOS 4 in the title as it's not obvious.

This or, the tic watch pro 5, which amazon gave at similar price ..
