Rang the store - got the Manager - "is my phone there, is it associated with my order/reference number, can I pick it up for certain because I'm coming quite a distance"?
"Absolutely, it's here, it's yours, there's nothing for you to be concerned about"
I arrive, the assistant takes all my details, and goes into the back for the phone" She then emerges with horror on her face. "I'm so sorry I can't give you it. It is your ordered phone but 'the system' won't allow me to release it"
I try my best to restrain my anger (with only moderate success) and demand to see the Manager. He confirms what I have been told. He's very apologetic but the only solution on the table is to cancel the order and then pay for it again as a new transaction. He assures me the refund will be back in my account within a week. I tell him I've no confidence in me getting a refund without that in itself turning into another mess so I storm out.
I calm down (to a degree) and decide that rather than repeat the long journey all over again I'll reluctantly (stupidly) go the cancel/reorder route.
I return to the shop and the Manager is dealing with another complaint - in fact all his staff are dealing with complaining customers (& I honestly kid you not) When I get to see him I tell him what I'm intending doing, but on the proviso I get something in writing/email that my refund will be processed within a week. He goes off to organise this. He then appears (& I think if he could have worn a suit of armour he would) to tell me the refund would take 60 days ..... YES, SIXTY DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say I left the shop before I did something I shouldn't whereby security would have been called.
I have no phone as I was promised even though 3 have my money. And I have no idea how this will conclude. The only thing I have taken from this (obviously not the phone) is that 3 are, well, I'm sure my post will be deleted if I write what I'd like to, so let's just say 'rubbish' and that they'll never get another penny from me and I'll absolutely slate them to everyone and on every forum I can.
Please note my experience fellow HotUKDealers (but that is not being critical of the deal of a stonking phone at a stonking price)
How would one get the 10£ topup, phones only showing the monthly sims (edited)
If you want to make it faster do these simple steps:
1. In Settings, go to About phone then press built number line 7 times quickly. It automatically launches developer options in settings menu. Open that search for animation speeds (3 different available) and set all of them to 0.5 from 1.
2. Phone is able to charge Wirelessly with 15 watts. Just enable it in Settings.
3. Update Google service updates to the latest. Simply go to Settings and search google service.
4. Enable double-tap screenshots from Moto gestures in Moto app. If you tap the phone back twice it takes a screenshot.
5. Enable quick torch in Moto gestures. If you shake the phone quickly it launches the torch....
Also if someone owns a Lenovo laptop now a new software available especially for motorola phones for quick connection/data transfer wirelwssly. search on google. (edited)

This is a great deal!
Signing on to the Three account would suggest autorenewal is off. There's no card associated with the account, so all should be fine there.
Camera seems fine for my purpose other than it is a huge 12mp file and I can't currently see an option to resize the image through an edit function, which my S9 can do easily.
Overall, seems quite nice and the wifi seems far snappier than my S9, which has become a real pain.
Seems ok, seal was not broken. Nice screen, nice sound, seems very responsive, battery life isnt that bad but not brilliant. Case is rubbish so ordered a replacement. Found a glass screen protector that seems to fit ok.
Also cant change the order of the android navigation buttons as far as I can tell (triangle, circle, square) . Have to un learn years of the triangle being on the right!
While on the home screen, hold the screen and select widgets, create a settings widget and pick 3-button navigation. Once created, tap on the widget and you'll be able to change it.
So, from the start. I click on get deal, click on "pay all today", the only option on the page is to "Next choose your plan". So, I scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on a "pay as you go" link, scroll down to "Pay as you go phones" click on that, great, scroll down, click on "see all phones" and... then, no matter the browser, device or fresh install of a browser, I always get the error message "Something went wrong", try later, error code 404.
So, I go up to the search line and search for Edge 40, which brings up a pic of the edge 40 and three options, one of which is "buy now", so I click on that. Again, on "Device payment period" I click on "pay all today" and... the only button to press to continue is "Next, choose your plan" and I can't get passed that, it insists I have to choose a plan to continue. If I scroll down and click on continue, it just scrolls me up to the top of the page and "you must select a plan to continue". What am I missing here? Thanks!

1) The sim card.. i am not even going to activate and put in a phone? Is that ok and will it incur any recurring charges? Do i need to cancel it with Three or just ok if i never use?

Click on Continue, then, on the "£10 data pack" click on "add this extra", then click on "continue to basket" etc
Been searching for ages. Tried different things and it doesn't seem to be there as payg with £10 top up. Wondering if it might be a glitch that's now been rectified? (edited)

- Went to the store, told them I no longer need it (Went to the specific store where I asked to collect it from)
- The store manager, earlier hesitant but then opened a ticket internally with three to cancel my order (Shared the incident ID with me)
- Received the refund after 3 days.

I could not find how to access this deal before. My success was by doing; clear cache (using mobile device chrome), go to website menu to find pay as you go plans, find the Motorola and click on it, then it asks you to choose the plan, you select pay outright and then find the PAYG plan, add on the £10 one off add on and then select collection to local store (if in stock).
Ordered this morning at about 7-8am and picked up from the Three Store at lunchtime.

I rang ahead and they just told me to bring ID and the confirmation email.
When I got there, they only had 1 in stock which was open box from being a return, so I wasn't going to accept that. The person there told me the stock online does not reflect what is in store.

have ordered this, a wait and see to know if any good....but cheap as chips...
6 days passed since I bought it online and chose to collect it; at least 15 calls to their CS with no result. I decided to go to the shop but guess what there was no reservation in my name even money was taken from my account.
I had no choice but to cancel my order and buy it directly from the shop. Now I'm waiting for a call to confirm the cancellation and the refund.
The phone looks like a Samsung Galaxy S6/S7 Edge + S8/S9.
I lost 2 hours to do 3 updates up to January 2024 but no Android 14.
It does charge really fast !
Try going into your account and click "Can I upgrade?". Then it's possible you will see this as an upgrade deal.
But you get a 68W charger so fully charge takes 45 mins from 0-100. (edited)
You paid for a Moto Edge 40 and Three confirmed the order. That's a binding contact, unless one of their terms is written somewhere that says Three taking payment and confirmation emails are not considered to form a contract.
I'd contact Three and tell them you require them to fulfil the contract, or otherwise pay for you to buy a Moto Edge 40 elsewhere. If they claim no contract was formed ask them what term in their conditions they are relying upon.
