I'm reading this on one and it's a great bit of kit. Only had it a week. Noticed an issue though. A lot of app notifications don't come through on cellular data. They come all at one as soon as I get home and connect to WiFi. Can't find a setting to fix it. This app and a few others weirdly won't refresh on WiFi though. Have to switch it off to use this app, dialy mail, and fair few others. Again can't seem to find anything in the settings to fix it.

I should add, some app notifications come through fine on cellular and others with the exact same settings don't.

Not sure why this phone gets bad publicity. I have it since last year from China, with Chinese rom and Google which isn't as good as global rom and I will take it over any other phone. Sure there are better cameras or better processors out there BUT this is the only phone with the size of a regular bar-phone with built-in tablet. I don't know why all phones are not like that. Once you used it for a month you can't go back.

I tried it and stuck with the the Fold 5, it has the best portability when opened, the reason why this format was created. (edited)

One has to physically see the Honor Magic V2 in order to appreciate the level of engineering they have accomplished. I'm amazed how thin and robust they've got it down to for a foldable

Agree, I held one in EE shop - outstanding engineering...at the time the price recoiled me.. but cant fault its a classy bit of kit and this £500 off is really tempting..tho for me Im looking to wait maybe til it drops to <£800...( wishful thinking..)

Isn't it amazing what supposed owners don't tell you, well buckle up this is purely on build quality.

None of the supposed owners mentioned how poor the V2 is in flex mode, £1600 and if I go past 95° the camera module will go crashing onto the table totally uncontrolled. Do it on the other half and you have the same result so it is not a weight thing, the Fold 5 will hold on for longer ( into the 100's )and when it does go there is some resistance there to control it's decent.

The V2 is a nice phone but the fit and finish is nowhere near the level of the Fold 5.

The hinges are worlds apart the build on Fold 5 is vastly superior
    .Greater flex range
.Greater tension/ resistance throughout the hinge range.
    .Thinner Frame bezel( very noticeable)
. The V2 rocks on table like crazy when opened and this is a device you will actually use on a table.
.Very uncomfortable one handing with the screen open
.There is an indentation around the inner camera you can not see on the Fold 5
.The Hinge is not flush with the screen and is quite harsh and abrasive.

When closed the V2 feels great but open its thinness definitely works against it, it feels like there is not enough to hold on to. It also does not have the cold dense feel of quality the Fold has.
To beat the best you have to be better not thinner and this fails the test on basic build quality, nevermind all the other aspects
Considering it is their 5/6/7 attempt they still have a ways to go to match Samsungs build quality.

thank you for your comment, I've been procrastinating on it as I'm disappointed by my flip 5. I'll hold out for the fold6 in August to see what comes.

Heat for the time and effort bro,
£500 off the retail price is a great spot.
Its crazy how a deal with a tenner off can go nuclear.
    MrBuzzyDeals's avatar
I think this is being rated more on "opinion" than the actual £500 off retail...but thats life.. 😏

Why does this always get downvoted?

    The Price!

There is hype talk and then there is paying the money out of your own pocket and the former don't buy hence the money off the ridiculous launch price.

This time next year all battered and abused it will a deal @£449, it would seem the bigger outer screen and thiness was not enough for people to jump on board.
    Pixel
    Oneplus
    Honor
    Have all miserably failed

    It’s an upvote from me.

At this price you could get a Samsung S24 ultra or iPhone 15 Pro Max……. I know £1200 for a phone is a LOT of money but this is a LOT of phone.

I have this, brilliant phone, excellent screen, quick charger, only negative compared to Samsung is perhaps speaker quality. I have had no issues with it. Excellent for playing games and watching films.
Came with beocom headphones which I traded in to cex for 280 voucher or something like that so bargain for me. (edited)

Samsungs is going to ditch a tried, tested and refined format to make two untested models.

It seems it’s a March only code. Now states can’t stack codes as the code fails - I like the big screen experience even though it’s Android!!
