Is 8gb of storage a bit small ?.

8gb in built storage, but expandable. You can install a memory card, use a homebase or a NAS. (Potentially no longer a NAS after a firmware update, maybe they'll re-add the feature in an upcoming firmware update, not sure) (edited)

Is this like a ring doorbell?

No. These are wireless cameras with built in solar panels for recharging. eufy also make doorbells though if you want one.

    Do these do continuous recording?

As far as I know, I don't think any of the battery cams do continuous recording. You'd be charging up the battery every day.

As I said in another thread, I bought one and returned as recordings are to the device itself as standard. Unless you buy a homebase or use some of the work arounds. Just something to be aware of.

    Thanks. Definitely worth pointing out.

As always id recommend with any purchase, big or small, always do your due diligence and research before buying a product.

If you check the spec sheet and watch a few YouTube reviews you should be able to work out that the videos are stored on the device itself before you buy it. It's how eufy is able to offer a subscription free service, everything is saved locally instead of in 'The cloud' on someone elses servers.

Been replacing my Blink cameras with these. Good price

I assume these are better than blink and no payments towards subscription. Do you have vase station too? Which one?

I'm looking to replace my swan, yi and ring with this all in one solution with new base station

What's the charging like in the darker months?
    r1zla's avatar
Not had to charge mine through winter, suppose it depends where you place them

    Nice find. Ordered. Voted hot

Awful detection on mine, moved where it points about ten times and still only detects about one in five people, only really useful as a deterrent. Preferred my Ring stick-up cam, just couldn't abide their ever-increasing subscription costs!

Try Amazon instead if you want to buy. £130 but you should be able to get a free 10 in 1 usb hub worth £40.
