Good price, voted hot. The reason why its a good price is because I think its the previous model. The latest model is ATX 3.0 which should have the Nvidia connector lead for the higher end 4000 series GFX cards.
Nothing wrong with that if you are looking to replace a faulty or old PSU.

Would be fine with a 6750xt GPU for example?

Good price for an A-tier psu. Like mentioned, it's discounted probably because it's an older model.

    Seasonic are top notch.

Will this support the Sata standard hard drives where pin 3 can disable newer drives and you have to mod the cable?
    Prunus's avatar
Likely not - the cabling spec is to provide 3.3v. Those drives violate the spec by expecting that pin to be unpowered, because they're made for USB enclosures without 3.3v. The PSU will just be obeying the spec as a PSU should - violating drives are not its problem.

Bought this from Amazon on the 29th March for £84.99 but Amazon is currently £96.95

Heat added, a lot of PSU for the money.

Corsair TX750M still going strong for me currently

If seasonic and this range are any good, this is a lot of quality watts for the price. V tempted.

Meh, take that back. Gigabyte and aerocool PSUs cheaper on awdit and OCUK. Seems they've come down in price a bit since I was last on the market for one.

Bought this as need an additional PSU but also hoping this gets rid of the coil whine that my main rig suffers from with the Corsair :-)

I have seen so many comments complaining about coil whine in Corsair. It could be because Corsair covers a lot of PSU market share. Maybe someone already has some analysis...
