Twin core CPU sadly, I am hitting the wall on a twin core i5 with browsers chewing the cores in Win10 badly. I would go for an 8th gen or later if you can.

    Am I missing something?

£144 for a 7th Gen Intel that without being an IT whizz wont upgrade to Windows 11 doesn't seem right.

People will normally throw Linux on these.

Few complaints about painted keyboards not sure why they do this ?

Presume if not done that way by Dell as a cost saving measure to cater for different markets by painting on the currency and any other symbols, it'll be to hide any wear and tear on a high mileage keyboard by the refurbisher.

Not had a Dell for a long time so not sure how the keyboard compares to say a Lenovo Thinkpad for wear.

Can usually get the Lenovo t480 8th gen i5-8250u for about £15 more from the same folk on a deal, although only with 8gb but easily upgradable. Worth a think.

I would move up a generation it's not much more and w11 compatible.

    7300,7310 or 14inch 7400,7410

You can make this w11 compatible if you use Rufus to create the ISO file
