Can you use the mobile membership on an iPad ?

Can I watch my Sports Mobile Membership on my tablet?
No, you can only watch with your Sports Mobile Membership on a supported Android or iOS smartphone. To watch on a tablet, you'll need to have a Sports Day or Month Membership. (edited)

Would the day pass be for today or can select a different day?
    Notanotherdeal's avatar
The daily pass has to be activated within 365 days of purchase.

If you buy today like i did, your mobile pass will be activated within 10 days, just in time for first premier league between Burnley vs Man City

    Through your TV yes

Excellent deal i've signed up. Only trouble is the pass doesnt activate until you watch something on sky sports, which would be a waste til the season starts, then 10 days til the mobile side kicks in.
Can't complain I guess tho for this price!
Also they only seem to have charged me £1
    TheJimp's avatar
No, they activate the 12 month mobile pass within 10 days of you buying the 24hr pass, not within 10 days of you activating the 24hr pass, so you'll have the pass within a few days.

Bought mine last week, 12 month pass came through yesterday

Everyone please read this thread before asking the same stupid questions.
No you cannot screen share/mirror to TV.
If you subscribe to boost this does not allow you to screen share/mirror to TV.
It is only five channels that does not include F-1.
For football it only covers Premier League and none of the other Football leagues or internationals and champions league.
Sky does not have the rights to every sporting event on the planet.
As this is a mobile membership you do not need 8k, 4k, 1080p, or 720p as your screen is too small to differentiate the pixelation during your streaming experience.
This is a bloody good deal for those who are happy to stream sport on their phone.
As stated in the title this allows you to legally steam 5 of the sky sports channels for a very small fee. (edited)

Can’t get it to work for me
  8. N_F_'s avatar
If you download an android emulator for pc you can watch the app on a pc screen or use a cable to connect to a tv
    Mindwipe's avatar
No, you can't. Android Emulators don't include any of the video DRM bits, nothing works on them like Netflix, Sky etc.
  9. mfactor's avatar
Have not read the entire thread yet, but prob the same as last time.....

Can you steam or cast to a TV - NO

But you can buy a cable from phone to TV

Can you watch on laptop - yes but you need Bluestacks android emulator - and then a cable to TV USB to HDMI (more common)

    Works fine

    Good value OP have heat

    Bye
    OhTheMajesty's avatar
I mean… if you tried really hard you probably could get it to stream from your phone to say your laptop, but heck what a faff. And is it even legal? If it isn’t, you may as well just stream an illegal stream and save the hassle if you’re gonna go down that route 🤷‍♂️

Got the email but when trying to watch on mobile I’m getting the following. Was hoping the mobile pass would work and I can save the 24 day pass for a later date. Seems to suggest watching on my phone will activate the day pass? Have tried logging out/in but same. Any thoughts?

Pick the right channels and it will start streaming without the activate your sports day message. Try sky sports news for example. I had the message pop up when I tried sky sports football then realized it's the sky sports channel with the epl lion head logo that works (edited)
  17. Blender's avatar
Anyone figured out a way to cast the app to a TV? Must be a work around.

Install a phone emulater on your pc and run it from there.

Watching the US Open on the sky sports arena channel right now, cos it is not on Amazon Prime anymore.
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
Yeah, I'm pretty happy this deal came back.

From what I understand, you can also order the day pass and not activate it straight away if you are waiting for a particular event.
  19. haines1997's avatar
Is it me or is the arena channel now not part of this? Doesn't seem to want to play ball on mine.

Hoping for a deal for TV streaming soon, if Chromecast was an option I'd be all over this
  26. PJ70's avatar
Surely for PL this is a bargain? Even just mobile.
    MrJTS's avatar
As far as I'm aware, if a premier league game is on Main Event, it is also shown on the Premier League channel. During covid, ME had fake crowd noises on, and PL sounded like a training session.

skysports.com/pre…res you can see which ones are on sky with this link.
  27. superleeds27's avatar
Shame this wouldn't be any good for the Football league fixtures! They tend to be on Sky Sports Football or Main Event
    bullerbug's avatar
Thought that was case. Shame my team was even worse than u guys last season

I have got the one day membership but didn’t get any confirmation email regarding 12 month mobile membership
    OhTheMajesty's avatar
You receive the email within 10 days

Anyone tried the mobile membership on a Galaxy Fold device recently? I tried last year and had real issues getting it to work. Just wondering if anything has changed.
  30. Dona3853's avatar
Did this last September and definitely worthwhile. I don't support a PL team but my lad does so we have an old smartphone that is our football phone and just has the Now app on it. When Liverpool are on he just props it up next to his monitor as he's usually on FIFA and is able to watch it. I watched a few other matches last season as well. Definitely worth £12. And can confirm there is absolutely no way of watching it on anything other than a phone.
    SandyOMine's avatar
Can all the PL matches be viewed or would it be certain matches only...just to be sure before I proceed to purchase it
  31. AlexNevin's avatar
How many devices can you use the mobile membership on? Thanks
    DonkeyKonk's avatar
Good Question. I know it is only One at a time (as Boost is not available on the Mobile version), but I haven't read how many devices you can have Registered to watch it on.

EDIT, From the FAQ's for this deal,...
"How many devices can I watch on?
You can have up to 6 devices registered on your account, but you can only watch on 1 smartphone at a time with a Sports Mobile Membership." (edited)

Is this a sign that the premier league is dying to the likes of the Saudi league. Looks like it. Premier league has been dominated by one team in the last couple of years. Don't see that changing. RIP premier league
    WuckFit's avatar
No matter how much money, without home-grown talent (world-class) the Saudi League is not sustainable, the MLS tried something similar and it didn't work. The MLS is now huge into grassroots/collage soccer and the standard is getting there. Saudi has a long, long way to go, and if/when it gets there, the richest team will also dominate, just like in the Premier League. PL and other leagues will be concerned but I see a "playing for your country" ban coming to protect European Leagues. If anything, the threat from the Saudi League will push other Leagues to improve, we may even see the European Super League in the next few years.

In a so called cost of living crisis, I can't give up my Sky. I'd put my £90 subscription as a necessity and use a food bank.

How many concurrent streams do you get with the mobile pass?

Up to 6 registered devices, 1 stream at any one time (edited)

I have purchased this, can I start watching on my phone straight away without using up the day pass as I want to save that until a super sunday to watch on my main tv. In the app it says about activating my day pass but if I can save that but watch within the app still that would be great
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
No. You have to wait until you get mobile confirmation that will take 10 days.

It says that in the deal.
  36. lm280904's avatar
Bought this and attempted to watch a Sports channel. Receive a message saying I'm about to use my day pass. Any way round this without using the day pass?

They will email you when it's done

I have two accounts. Have the previous deal that works till start of November but just bought this on my other account and this covers me for the season of premier league.
