And those awful reviews are on Trust pilot, another site that has "relationships" with brands, and oddly enough more positive brand reviews than on other sites.

Imp : You must also activate your SIM and start using it within 10 days of purchase to be eligible for the voucher.

This is the problem for me. Hopefully, there is a deal in November when my current 5p Lyca one ends.

6 months+ is a long time to wait for a voucher to come through plus the risk that there will be a Quidco style shambolic failure in tracking:

Yeh worry about same, imagine gift card doesn’t come through

Terms and conditions state potentially a 6 month wait before they confirm you qualify for the gift card
  5. mwalke36's avatar
Good deal but I'd rather pay a little more than find out 6 months later that I'm not getting the gift card. Been stung before with a similar deal with another provider.

Up to 180 days to recieve the gift? I think I'll pass
    EngineRom's avatar
Yes 180 day wait is a killer in my opinion. Especially with the risk after 180 days of no gift card. There are safer options
  7. m00moo's avatar
I took out a 5gb deal last few weeks but haven't activated yet. Will it die off and i wont get charged or do i need to call them to cancel it?
    SandyOMine's avatar
Your first payment was taken at the time of purchase so you would need to cancel it and request a refund. Also may want to login on the website and switch auto renew off. (edited)

Haven't got any Amazon GC from a virgin deal signed in March 23. Feeling shy to go with gift cloud due to the experience.
    amz84uk's avatar
Yes, I received the £115 gift card for Amazon via the broadband deal earlier this year, offered by Giftcloud.

I too have taken the plunge.... Been with three since 2014 and currently paying £16p/m. Id ask if they'd be willing to match Labara's monthly price for a long time customer but I doubt they could and I dont think they would and they probably wouldnt offer me a new handset or tablet device because Im on a 30 day rolling contract.

Had some good times on this network. Saved my bacon a few times with the truly unlimited data in the early days (edited)

I was with 3 for years. I moved to Vodafone 6 years ago and now i recently joined Lebara. So much cheaper than Vodafone. My number ported with no problems, very impressed so far.

I wouldn't rely too much on giftcloud, they are a bunch of scammers
  11. Thislife79's avatar
I'm sure the Gift card will be declined if Lebara deliberately cause a hickup with one of the card payments over the 6 months/card expires/updates etc which would be very easy to happen.
    Topper1900's avatar
Both of my recent Lebara have, oddly in my view, had the second payment rejected so I have had to contact customers services in order to get the payment reinstated and the discount period to continue. I can't see why my bank would take the first payment then reject the second payment.

Can you use the gmail +1 trick to get use same email address for new sim card?

    humza7's avatar
Another way is to use blank@googlemail.com I'm not sure if it works for this particular deal, but have used it for other stuff before..
  13. Chrizy's avatar
    Wow... I need 3 of these. So I'll get £40x 3 ?
    ben.jammin's avatar
New customers only - use a different email address each time!
  14. azzap's avatar
My Lyca 6 month deal finishes soon, it is easy enough to move to Lebara?

Also, how long do we have to activate once purchasing this? (edited)
    Mr.Plow's avatar
If you click through to the deal it says you must activate the SIM within 10 days to be eligible for the giftcard, it also says the promotion ends 31st August. (edited)
  15. pwag20's avatar
I’ve just switched to this deal. SIM card came quickly and porting over my existing number was really easy. Liking their app too. So far, so good

How do you check if this has actually tracked. This is a great deal if you get the voucher, mediocre at best if you dont. You risk paying for 6 months only to find out its declined or not tracked.
    Resonate's avatar
    well, that went well.....

I'm already with Lebara. Can I purchase this and still keep my number?
    amz84uk's avatar
You will need to port your number onto another network and then bring it back to Lebara onto this new sim deal.

You cannot port from your current Lebara onto this new Lebara deal.

Best to buy a LycaMobile temporary sim card (warning: rubbish network) - get a very basic sim card at cheapest price, port to LycaMobile and instantly port back to Lebara!
  18. magadora's avatar
    Has anyone got anything yet?
    Face69's avatar
Nothing so far and the 180 days have passed.
But it does say, 'you will be sent instructions on how to choose your Gift Card up to 30 days after your eligibility is confirmed'
    ... so I still wait.

Nice my Lyca sim finishes soon.

Get it via uSwitch and the first 3 months are £2.78. Cancel any time
  26. monsterism's avatar
Is this the best deal there is?, really want something cheap like the old deals of £1,XX odd something for 12gb data for the first 6 months,

This sounds tempting but so many things can go wrong that I probably won't end up with the gift card
    amz84uk's avatar
    There’s LycaMobile as a alternative.

Or hold out for a few days / weeks for maybe better deal.
  27. Commentmaker's avatar
Just an update - the end date has now been extended to 3rd October so you can still get this deal.

Promotion is valid from 23rd June 12:00 pm to 3rd October 12:00pm, and applicable for new customers to Lebara only. Get your voucher via the email used to sign up after the validation period is completed.
  28. adamski88's avatar
    • Customers who cancel their plan or turn autorenewal off or switch to a different plan before the end of 180 days period, will not be eligible for the Gift Card.

Does this mena ull get charged £6.90 for month 7? As u can't cancel until your actually in month 7?

What is everyone doing for emails? gmail dot trick or completely new emails? I don't want to run the risk of using a different email to the GiftCloud and them refusing me the offer because the emails don't match or something silly like that.
    andylol's avatar
Then... use the same email? Confused about this question

    Does lebara do esim?
    nkiran22's avatar
    No they don’t.

I already have a Lebara SIM but the deal isn't as good as this, do I need to port out to Asda or something first to get this deal ?
    eldaras's avatar
Unfortunately, yes. You have to port out. You could try to call lebara and see if you can haggle the price a bit of your current sim/contract.
  35. Face69's avatar

Thanks OP - great timing as I was looking at another tariff from them but this one is far superior

Good if I wasn't already with lebara
    1silviu1's avatar
you can port out for 1 day and port back in
  38. ross.dalton's avatar
Is the roaming free or do you have to pay £2 to unlock your allowance like 3 try to charge me
    Mooney70's avatar
Roaming is free with lebara in the countries they list. Although there is a cap which is supposed to be your average monthly data use. But I'm not sure if they actually stick to that?
  39. pokemon2's avatar
where is the £12 sim link?
  40. Cappuccino's avatar
This deal has been showing on MSE for a while. I'm going for the 5GB deal on my son's phone. No voucher though. Have to set up recurring card or Paypal payments so watch your bills.
