Can anyone recommend a decent ATX mobo for this around the same price point. My 8 year old CPU has been tapping out for the last 4 years.

Gigabyte B550M is what I have for this

Would this be a significant improvement on a Ryzen 5 3600x

Not much for gaming. But other cpu tasks should benefit

Make sure you get a decent cooler for this one, it runs very very hot!

Its a 65W chip so really shouldn't run that hot, what temps are you seeing? It's single chiplet so most of the 65W output is concentrated in a small area so peak temps can be high on a small cooler, but performance loss is small.

    Thats insane value

Yeah this is crazy value. I'm a bit annoyed as I thought I could sell mine to put towards a 5800X3D in the future, but at this rate I'll get pennies for it..
