Can I run slack and chrome with this?

It depends on how many tabs you have open.

It says 5.7ghz , I thought it is 4.5ghz. How is it different from 7950x3d
    Stonegrasshopper's avatar
5.7GHz is the maximum speed that a single core can run at. 4.5GHz is the base speed however unless your cooler is bad it will be boosting above this speed.

The 7950x3d runs at a slightly slower clock speed but one of the CCDs has 3d v-cache. Games in particular benefit from the extra v-cache.

    STEAL! I’m crying I paid £370 for a 7800x3d

Great processor for creative work loads. (edited)

7800x3d is far better for gaming.

Great price for a beast of a CPU. Zen 5 is around the corner but if productivity demands can't wait, this is a steal!

Anyone know if these will produce a good performance improvement for slicing 3D models in PusaSlicer? (I.e. Will if be faster than a six core?...Will Prusa use the cores?...its going to be expensive to find out it doesn't) (edited)

I use Bambu Studio (related to Prusa Slicer) on an entry level Mac Mini and on a ryzen 2600 and I’ve NEVER thought “i wish it sliced faster”. What on earth do you print?
