This high-powered Hammer Drill is ideal for heavy duty DIY drilling. With an output of 600 watts it's able to drill into masonry, wood and metal easily. It's primarily intended to be used as a drill but is very versatile. It can be used for a wide range of tasks from simple screwdriving to fitting a TV bracket or drilling into brickwork. It has a handy, adjustable depth gauge that'll prevent you from drilling deeper than needed. It comes with a 13mm keyless chuck for convenience, and the soft grip handle enhances both comfort and accuracy.

Buying accessories is easy, the drill is compatible with all standard round shank drill bits up to 13mm diameter & 6.35mm (1/4) hexagonal screwdriver bits. The drill will auto shutdown if it gets too hot.

It comes with an auxiliary handle which makes the drill easier to balance and will give you greater control.

Guild power tools are built to last and come with a 2-year guarantee. So, whether you're using a drill to put up a shelf or using a mitre saw to cut decking, you know with guild power tools, the products are built to last. Guild - for a job well done.

Hammer or drill?
When drilling brick and concrete, choose the hammer position. If you're drilling wood, metal or plastic, choose the drill position.

Set your depth
Use the depth gauge to set a constant depth to drill. It's easy to set up, all you do is loosen the handle and insert the depth gauge through the hole, then slide the depth gauge to the required depth and tighten fully.

Which way?
It's easy to swap between forward and reverse, simply push the switch to your desired direction.

Speed things up
The on/off switch is also a variable speed switch. The speed and torque increase with firmer trigger pressure.

Switch lock-on
Depress the on/off switch, then press the lock-on button, your switch is now locked on for continuous use. To switch off your tool, just depress the on/off switch first, then release it.

Need to do a few holes for CCTV camera wires through the masonry, 600w seems low, anyone got any experience as to whether this will be strong enough?

A good bit, take your time, let the drill do the work and yes, it'll do the job.

I use this for mixing paint! Great cheap drill, cheap enough to use for such a silly purpose or "leave" at the garage mother in laws house etc. Strong enough to mix 20L barrels. Lasted 3 years to date. Highly recommend.

Can this be used to chisel out tiles so I don't have to use my better SDS?
    smala01's avatar
No - you need an SDS with Rotor stop. This one from Screwfix is usually the best bang for your buck if you want a corded 240v model.

This drill is probably fine for doing most of the light DIY jobs around the house but the tool snob in me just says eugh!

I bought this, don’t. Spend a bit more money and get a proper cordless impact driver or an SDS drill. I’m now having to replace it with something else because it’s a pita to use.
