Thanks, I’ve been hovering ages over buying, this may just seal it. I’m between the Sony XM5s (with todays deal), the B&W PX7s and the Senn Momentum 4. Too many choices

I thought the XM5s were terrific but watch out for the headband. Its narrow and hurts some peoples head - YMMV.

Just to make people aware, Bose aren't the market leaders in noise cancellation that they once were. Lots of makers have caught up, or even exceeded, Bose ANC. Eg Sony, Soundcore, Razer, etc. RTings is a good place to compare. But that's not to say these don't offer a good combination of ANC, sound quality, and build quality. (edited)

Hot - recently bought off Amazon for £379 so will be returning those and buying these.
Switched from the Sony range because I never got comfortable in them (owned the OG 1000X, XM3 and tried and returned the XM5) - these are much more comfortable for me (big head, big ears, glasses-wearer), really nice build quality with the aluminium frame, and the sound is very good after a gentle EQ to tame the bass. ANC also seems excellent but yet to fly with them - seems like there's not much to choose ANC-wise between Bose, Sony or Airpods Max.
I generally follow the principle of "Buy Other Sound Equipment" but have been pleasantly surprised with these and very happy to save another £45.

Cheers OP, been eyeing these for a few months now, upgrading from the nc700s

Had a pair - liked the sound and comfort though the 'spatial audio' setting was atrocious. Ended up returning mine due to insane plastic creaking around the ear cups.

Got these for 230 form amazon Germany just over a month ago. Sounded okay and comfort was great. Controls were proper naff tho. Sold them on. (edited)

still a bit too expensive compared to other brands? sub £300 will be more tempting.

I have just ordered the ear buds to try and when the head phones are cheaper I would like to invest in a pair. 2 reasons,
    Conform as a glasses wearer
    Good ANC.
