sorted byYou see him in KA, you saw the character, you see him in Godzilla, you saw the character, the same in Marvel, the same in this. It's not like "Oh that's Idris Elba playing a rocket scientist this week" running through your head as you watch the film.
The problem is the character is what those films were judged by - that he was amazing in KA (don't know if the name is censored here) and then just an empty plot vessel in Godzilla and you forget it was even him in Marvel (before being recast.)
So he could be one of those actors where its all down to the writing and not his acting if the end result is good or bad because personally he's just not that memorable outside the roles he's given. Again, pros and cons to that.
Edit: It has been denied since the hype so maybe someone jumped the gun. It wouldn't be the first (or even the tenth) time we've had a bond announced that wasn't real. (edited)
