And it's always worked. And Height/Atmos ceiling speakers Are worth it.
Beware, last i checked, even if you use a secondary amp for speakers in the ceiling all the 7.1 amps will drop to 5.1 channels when you enable z/atmos/height output. Worth it for the right films, but too much loss of positional audio advantage in games.
/While that's the case am waiting on the early 2010s-like competitive av amp marketplace to return, and an affordable 9.1 av amp (7.1.2?) going on sale. Before next home theatre upgrade
