This says it comes with an edging strip so can I use just half of it to make a presentable 60 x 180 strip?
    carrot1401's avatar
Yeah, has edging parts all the way around, so you should be able to!

I've read that these can be used for a home gym but aren't ideal when lifting heavier weights, and 20mm rubber / horse stall mats are a better option. Unfortunately they're significantly more expensive.

Is there anything that could be put under these to make them suitable for heavier lifting? I've seen plywood and OSB mentioned in various places but am not very DIY-savvy.

With these being made of foam, heavy weights and equipment will just leave compression marks. As long as you don’t leave the weights on these mats then you will be fine. I have these in my garage for under a turbo trainer so don’t care about the dents.

Just bought three packs at £16 quid each from B&M looks like the exact same tiles… would take ‘em back if they weren’t under the hot tub… bahh… wish I’d seen this first
Good buy and as others have said they come with edges so you could have any dimensions you like all jigsawed together. (edited)

Do you think this is likely to be the same thickness and density as the exercise versions found elsewhere? I.E. is it effecting the same and suitable?

Or are there slight variations on the products.

Many thanks in advance for anyone who knows
