I bought a Linsar (who they?) TV about 6 or 7 years ago for £199. 50" and 4K@60Hz. It is used daily as a monitor for work and still going strong. I think it's a bit of a lottery with TV longevity - both cheap and expensive. I have a Pioneer Plasma in the bedroom which is entering its 19th year. I've had tellys pack in after 2 years. A relative's £1000 samsung went after 3 years. I don't think I'd spend more than £800 these days without a decent warranty period.

Is this the best TV I could get under 300 quid?
Also how is the OS on this slow or moderate? (edited)

I don't think you can go far wrong with this TV for the price.

Can this be carried by an average guy, or do I need the power of the gladi- a-tors ?

Very light but box is large

Read the LG TrustPilot reviews before buying any of their products. From recent experience the avalanche of 1 star reviews is well deserved.

I must admit I've not been overly impressed with the image of LG TVs. I've had their G2 recently, and the fluctuating brightness is driving me insane. It seems, if you want the best all-round image, you have to go with Sony or Panasonic.

can you use that tv in bedroom?
    Lau's avatar
    Nop. Only in the bathroom
  8. Hunterx878's avatar
That's such a good price for a 4K UHD tv. Not looking at this myself, but if that was my budget that would be a steal of a price.

Omg, around £250 for a 55" TV. Wish I needed one

I’ve had this model as the bedroom tv and it’s excellent value. Far better than the more expensive Hisense one I had before. Highly recommend

that didn't take too long did it? A much better deal than what you were arguing with me about at the same price!

My Hisense blinked 3 times and went black then switched off and won't restart. Better fixing or buying this baby?
    McMike's avatar
Mine has an intermittent issue where when its turned on from standby the red led flashes repeatedly and no picture I have to power cycle to resolve. Normally it flashes 3 times then picture comes on.

This or the OLED tvs for £650? Is OLED really worth £400 more?
    ACEACE's avatar
The OLED around 650 is a steal. Whole different league...

Can't tell if this set supports VRR?
    mlekopan16's avatar
Don't quote me on that, but for vrr you need hdmi 2.1 whereas this tv got "only" 2.0
  24. playaz's avatar
Got this for £190 with my Amazon discount bit of a steal this thanks to the OP
