At current energy crisis this is by far the cheapest energy efficient dryer that I have seen at £299 being an A++ rated. Positive reviews all round, although technically Currys own brand, this will both save on bills and cost of the appliance itself.

Free collection in store or delivery for £25.

It’s worth noting that if you go via TC, avail the £15 off 299 code, in addition to this utilise a Curry’s GC through Top GC’s for a further 5% cb. You may also receive 3% going through the link. A pretty decent saving for prospective buyers. Reduces the cost to circa £290 taking into account the above.

Lastly, worth putting the outlay on a credit card if you can for additional protection should any issues arise with the appliance. Even if you pay a penny on the credit card, rest on a GC.

    Hope this helps,

    Oliver

I have this drier - it's excellent and worth the money in my opinion.

Really cheap for a pump and if budgets are tight I think this is a smart buy. Hate to give a downside (and for the price you will struggle to get better) but at 1..9KWH per full load it is nowhere near as efficient (energy wise) as most pump dryers. That being said it is still half the running costs of the better condensers. I know personally if I replace my condenser it will be with the cheapest running pump dryer I can find - knowing that this will cost me a lot more than what's on offer here.

Best of breed will be spec at around 1.4kWh probably double the cost to buy

Real life will be lower as specs use 60% retained moisture, most washers do better than that, A rated spin 45%

Even at 0.5kWh saving per load you need to consider payback, especially where the biggest savings come from not using the dryer more often.

    Say £250 and 15p a cycle over 1500cycles payback.

I got a Beko heat pump A++ dryer in 2018, that has an identical layout to this model the drum design looks identical too. That was rated 1.7kw full load, but when I've measured power use it's usually 1.1kw for a mostly full load.

It's cheap but the brand not so sure about I know sometimes you can pickup an LG with 5 year warranty for around £500 this one from Currys an additional 5 year warranty is £90 I probably will wait around for an LG seems like better value for me (edited)

I totally understand that, and honestly before I started tackling some appliance repairs myself I was quite a brand snob also, that being said though, if you're purely looking for functionality versus energy saving with this price you can't go wrong. I know for a fact that most of these appliance manufacturers use the same Chinese parts, the only thing that I would 100% agree on however is that LG and bigger known brand customer service and response would be better. If I could I would buy all my appliances from Costco for their warranty but unfortunately I don't qualify for one . Thanks for the comment though, been a long time user and thought I might give a listing a shot!

I have this dryer (or might have been the model before, looks identical though). Iv had it for about 3 years now, works a treat.

A full load of about 8 bath towels take 2 1/2 hours to dry. A full load of mixed clothes about 1 1/2 hours. I just plan accordingly for when i put it on.

My electric use hasnt really increased much at all, so im very happy with it. I purchased it from Currys with the 5 year warranty as was a bit concerned with it being a budget brand.

I bought this for my caravan on a private park as it has reduced electrical power, was told a vented dryer would trip the electric. Works a treat! Really impressed with how well it runs and has a great bright LED light when you open the door so you can see everything inside. Only criticism I might give is the door catch is plastic so might not last as long as a metal one, having said that the metal one on my Hotpoint Aqualtis Dryer at home has started to rust, so I might be wrong!

Most of these machines can be plumed into waste water pipe instead of having to remove the water container. Is it possible with this machine?
