We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy a brilliant day out with us, to benefit from the amazing animals who live at ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoos, connect with nature and help us create a world where wildlife thrives.
To help people who might find cost or other challenges a barrier to visiting ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, our Community Access Scheme provides discounted tickets.
Tickets from as little as £3 per person
Help for Households
We know how hard things are for many families on low incomes right now, and we want to do what we can to help.
As part of our Community Access Scheme, you can now buy reduced price tickets for London Zoo ‘at the gate’ from as little as £3 per person if you are receiving Universal Credit, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support or Jobseeker’s Allowance.
The £3 tickets are available for the whole family (under 3’s go free), from 11am every day of the week, and the current offer runs until the end of March 2023.
You’ll need to bring your proof of benefit letter with you to the zoo when you buy your tickets(s) from our friendly staff at the admissions gate (this can be an electronic copy if you prefer).
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to issue discounted tickets unless you are able to show one of the above documents (per household) as proof of eligibility.
Important notes:
These tickets are available 7 days a week to buy from 11am onwards
Tickets can only be purchased from our admissions kiosks at the time of your visit – they are not available online or in advance.
Regular admissions tickets, including those for anyone coming along with you, must still be booked online and in advance.
We’re operating a cashless system on our sites and we ask that you pay with credit or debit cards, or contactless payment methods only.
Due to the popularity of this scheme, there may be queues at 11am and on busy weekends, so we suggest arriving later or visiting weekdays to minimise waiting times at our ticket booths.

Our Community Access Scheme also provides reduced price tickets (£6.50 per person) to people that have additional needs or disabilities.
Great deal though. Shame it would cost another £400 quid on the train.
However, many of those I know don't have transport so sometimes these discounts don't increase access as much as people think, even with the max £2 bus fare for a family of 4 that could be £16 in transport. Certainly our local zoos are pretty difficult to get to by public transport. (edited)
You get child tax credit and child benefit
Bad news for those that do work full time, pay a large amount of tax and those that dont take the mickey.
When the extra money for energy wasnt enough, have a cheap day out. (edited)
Or find someone who can utilise this and tag along (allow up to 6) (edited)
