Mr Switch - What's your opinion on this phone? It does interest me but I'm apprehensive about stepping away from the main brands of phones to the unknown.

Can't speak for the 2 but I've had the Nothing phone 1 for nearly a year now and it's been brilliant so far. A bit overpriced at launch but I got it far cheaper on the O2 refresh deal (£199) and can't really fault it.

Had my 2 since last Nov. Fantastic phone, and don't miss my Pixel 7 Pro at all. I don't take a lot of photos so the camera downgrade I can live with. My 2 beats the Pixel everywhere else.

    Brilliant phone.
Had the 1 since release and upgraded to this a few months after release (damaged packaging for £415) bloody brilliant phone, I came from Samsung to OnePlus and now to Nothing.

Glyphs are a gimmick sure, style is gorgeous, it's chunky with no shitty curved glass.

Camera is ok, software and new Android Nothing skin is beautiful, no bloat at all.

Worth every penny and will happily follow Carl Pei to whatever endeavours he does next, well, until he starts pumping out 1K "Flagships" then goes onto his next venture.

You say glyphs are a gimmick, but they have their uses. I used the essential notification one. I don’t like using Always On Displays so having a light was handy. Much like phones that used to have the little notification LED. There’s not many do it anymore. RedMagic phones has a similar system, easier to see, but not as customisable.

Is the Nothing 2 a big step up from a Redmi Note 10 Pro? Thanks

    I’d say it’s a decent upgrade yes

I jumped from a Pixel 6 to the Nothing Phone 2 because I was getting fed up by the inconsistent pixel modem & I have to say I've been pleased with the decision. The software is clean & issues I'd have with phone signal with my Pixel in quite alot of places, I just don't have anymore with the nothing.

One thing that I didn't realise I'd miss as much as I have though is the lack of esim capability on these nothing phones. If you travel abroad frequently using esims, just be weary of this!
