    for people who are deciding between this and GRE, I have just returned my recently bought 7900 GRE mainly cause of AMD driver issues and constant crashes, I tried many things like fresh windows install and different drivers but nothing worked. I have always been an Nvidia guy but after i sold my GTX 1080 a few years back, I decided to give AMD a chance but only disappointment followed and GRE was the final straw. In the end even though i had to spend a bit more on a 4070S (for a better cooler design) i think my sanity is well worth it. Also nvidia features like DLSS are next level compared to fsr, take it from a guy who has now experienced both. (edited)

    On the 15th March you bought a 7900GRE.

    On the 20th you were recommending it above the 4070S and 7800XT.

    By the 26th you had bought a 4070 Super and were regretting the purchase versus a 7900XT at £650.

    Now, on the 3rd of April you are proclaiming the 4070 Super as being far superior to any AMD card.

    Forgive me but I cannot take your recommendations seriously. You are clearly someone who struggles with impulse purchases and seeks validation for their purchases.

    Looks like a good price for a 4070 Super.

    Stiff competition at this price point versus the 7900GRE. AMD has more raw performance and VRAM but the Nvidia card does ray tracing better and has access to the latest iteration of DLSS.

    Thanks. What do you reckon on this vs the 7900GRE?

    My gut is for gaming without Ray Tracing the 7900GRE will be better and also maybe a little more future proof .

    do you game at 4k? Even playing cyberpunk with PT my gpu goes over 12gb of VRAM.

    No 4k and Id say youd be fine with this.

    Maybe with dlss, my 4070ti can play it 4k 160 with dlss.

    We all know nvidia is better. You pay a little more yes, but better software support, less bugs and superior features like DLSS.
