I will predict the next few comments

    Are these any good?

Yes I got some years ago and they still working brilliantly

I got some recently and they are rubbish

They used to be good but now they are carp

Get IKEA ladda batteries they are the best

Some are made in china now and not as good

Some ladda batteries aren't as good now so get Eneloops (edited)

You're no fun are you? Let me add to the hysteria.....

Look for the ones in the slightly darker clear plastic as these are made of a higher quality.

No inflation on these, considering that years ago, they were £2.99-£3.99 for a pack. I wonder how Lidl can do this. Hot! (edited)

Are these the type which hold their charge, or the ones which lose the charge more quickly? It doesn't say anything on the photo of the pack

Says they're precharged ready to use so are the ones that hold their charge.

I think this is Nationwide, as i saw this same price today in Lidl London. (edited)

I understand these are rechargable, but speaking about quality - standard Tronic batteries from a separate AAA pack failed to power anything. I'll rather trust Kodak from Poundland than Tronic (edited)

Thank you. I need AA and 8 for £6 seems great. I will try my local over next few days

These are a good job I've got both types and used them for a long time, much better than duracell rechargeables that I've also used, hot from me.

    These are rubbish.

I bought a bunch of these, and I've had two different model large chargers from Aldi, and they're trash.

Initially, I bought the Tronic charger and batteries off a deal here. The charger wouldn't charge their own Tronic batteries and reported them as faulty because they continuously dropped below the minimum charge level that the charger would activate the charge from.

Later down the line, a similar variation of the same type charger came up, this time with an added USB charging port. Once again, muggings bought some more Tronic batteries and the newer variation Tronic charger, and the same thing happened all over again.

    These are junk.

Avoid. Have a bunch of these and they barely hold a charge

Crap crap and crap. Got them recently from Lidl. I also ordered Amazon Basics batteries (24 for 22 quid). Put 3 of each to LED candles which I have on for about 12h a day. Amazon batteries lasted 9 days whilst these died after 6.

Got the older 2300's. If these are anything like them they should be pretty good.
