The Government’s current plan is to make 2G available until 2033 when it will no longer be needed as a backup service.
I think you were thinking more of 3G. Incidently there is 4G VoLTE capable similar Artfone on limited time offer at Amazon but the merchant doesn't meet with HUKD'S ratings criteria for publishing here. That one no doubt is slightly more expensive but has USB-C and charging dock included. (edited)
