200kg limit is very low compared to other racks, and I wouldn't consider spending this little on a half rack, never mind a multi-functional power rack. I'd consider this a gamble that may not last too long.

Before anyone says "I won't ever lift 200kg", the lower weight limit is an indicator that the overall product won't be as sturdy as others.

    So, simply spend another £240?

Yes. Hold out if necessary. It’s probably a ‘once in ten years’ purchase, so get it right and buy something better

I have one in my garage from last January

It's a great piece of kit, I've tightened it up a couple times over the year, but more out of want than need.

I can recommend it, and for this price it's great. Happy to answer any questions if you have them

    Six ft is fine

I have 80kg on the pulley and it's fine, but make sure you ahve equal amounts each side

Anyone know what the width between the uprights is?

My comment from the last time this was posted:

The width of the rack itself is 115cm so your bar's collars must be that or more apart to fit on the J-cups. I'm using an Olympic bar (7') which is ~140cm between collars.

I've got 40kg on it and no dramas. Not sure what it's actually rated too though, I imagine much more.

I've got a 7ft barbell on it for the extra space but 6 would be fine

You've also got the pulley mechanism at the back. I believe that it's lower than the pull up bar so may buy some space. If nobody confirms before hand I will check for you after work tomorrow

I installed it upside down, and it’s absolutely fine doing controlled pull ups. I wouldn’t want to Kip on it on or do explosive chin ups with fear of banging my head on the ceiling. With it upside down you can’t do the widest grip pull ups which were my favourite. Also I think it’s quite important to attach it as it provides extra strength between the two beams. (edited)

The bar is needed for stability, I'd add it even if not being used

Yes but only by a few mm’s, as the cable attachment stand thing is almost as tall.

No chasing up just seems they split the boxes up for some reason. They all were sent to some depot on the same day, but then only 2 of them went to the next depot, then delivered on Friday. The next one appeared on the following Tuesday I think it was.

190kg, admittedly not over the 200kg stated but feels really strong

That's a decent squat, I rarely see people in gyms doing much over 2 plates. You should be safe beyond 200kg, they set lower limits because they know that people will exceed them. (edited)

Had a mirafit bench but found the legs to protrude too much and not go far back into the cage enough, so replaced with the Addidas flat bench from Costco for £40. Have a ‘York beefy 1” / 80” barbell’ which I picked up for £30 on the net a few months prior, fits in the cage perfectly. Argos cast iron 1 inch plates are usually on offer, I picked up quite a few recently. Also mirafit have some decent 1inch plates and barbells but are usually abit on the pricier side.

That's fair that you don't want to damage the finish but the saying "a knight in shining armor has never been tested" comes to mind.

Why don't you buy a cheap pool noodle and attach it with a few zip ties?

I find that a bench wont go far enough backwards for most exercises due to the rear stabilizing bar on the floor and end up only doing squats inside a power cage.
